I began blogging back in November 2004 under the nom-de-plume Reverse Vampyr. But after several years of having to explain the meaning behind the name, I decided to go with something a little more straightforward. To me, Full Metal Patriot speaks to a hardcore attitude and a dedication to liberty as described by America’s founders in the Declaration of Independence and our United States Constitution. Or, as I like to call it, “High Caliber Conservatism.”
Politically-speaking, I consider myself a Constitutionalist and am more to the right than left on most issues. And although I most certainly don’t march in lock step with the Republican Party, they’re a far sight better than the Democrat Party. Furthermore, I am dead-set against Communism and Socialism. Both variations of Liberalism have proven to be a destructive to individual freedom and have been demonstrable failures throughout history wherever they’ve been applied.

Personally-speaking, I am a 12th generation American and a Harley-riding Texan as well as a gun owner & NRA member. I practice several forms of Japanese martial arts including aikido, jujutsu and bojutsu. My primary art is kenjutsu — the art of the Japanese sword — which I have been studying since 1999.
I welcome all viewpoints on my blog and I enjoy discussing differences of opinion. However, I will not tolerate mindless ad hominem or spam, so don’t waste your time or mine. Comments of that nature will be immediately deleted without seeing the bloggy light of day.

UPDATE 1/19/12: I took another of these tests today (try it yourself here), and although the axes(?) are flopped a bit from the graph shown above, my results are largely the same.

just stumbled upon your sight, and I agree with your insightful reasoning… I too lean towards the right, although I vote with common sense, not a label. Born and raised in a republican home, I respect a woman’s right to take care of her own body, I’m against illegal immigrants getting aid and amnesty, and certainly don’t think they should have any rights of legal citizens…especially to vote!
Keep the powder dry… as it appears it may be needed in the not so distant future.. God Bless Amercia!!!

Just wanted to say howdy from a fellow Texan. I have been reading your blogs for over a year and have enjoyed them. I share your insights and views on most everything i have read. I too ride and enjoy the freedom of the open road. I work in the oil & gas industry, drilling & exploration. Your blog on energy, oil & gas propaganda was spot on. High gas prices are starting to hit home now with increased food prices & higher utilty bills. Dear leader has got to be sent packing come Nov. – Keep up the good work and God Bless America.
