Religion of Peace update: US judge rules that Muslims are legally allowed to attack “infidels” who insult Muhammad

Just keep repeating what CAIR and American Muslim Association apologists have been saying; there’s no need to worry that Muslims might institute Sharia law here in the America. Oh wait. Strike that. Reverse it.  Jonathon Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, reports on a disturbing case in which a state judge in Pennsylvania threw out an assault case involving a Muslim attacking an atheist for insulting the Prophet Muhammad. Judge Mark Martin, an Iraq war veteran and a convert to Islam, threw the case out in what appears to be an invocation of Sharia law. The incident occurred at the Mechanicsburg, Pa., Halloween parade where Ernie Perce, an atheist activist, marched as a zombie Muhammad. Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim, attacked Perce, and he was...

Obama’s strategy for $6-per-gallon gasoline

Obama’s “gradual adjustment” strategy

Americans have been noticing the rapid escalation of gasoline prices recently. And right on schedule, President Obama has gone on the offensive to blame everyone but himself for his lack of an energy policy: A feisty President Barack Obama ridiculed his Republican adversaries’ plans to ease soaring gasoline prices Thursday, saying Americans would not fall for strategies that can be written on a bumper sticker.  “Some politicians always see this as a political opportunity. Only in politics do people greet bad news so enthusiastically,” he said accusing his rivals of trying to profit from high prices and the pumps. The American Automobile Association...

That moment just before the pain begins…

After looking back at my Jan 2009 blog post about President Obama’s inauguration speech, I realized that almost everything I had worried about has now come to pass. And the President himself has run afoul of that which he accused his political enemies. “To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history.” With that in mind…

New logo for Obama’s “Truth Team”?

truth_team_swastika2

Last week, I posted about Dear Leader’s effort to enlist and indoctrinate at least 2 million supporters for a “grassroots communications team” they’re calling the Truth Team. And this week, I’m seeing numerous blog posts being circulated around the ’net which report that the Truth Team’s newest logo looks a lot like a nazi swastika. (image via Doug Ross) The one on the right is for their arm-bands. In all seriousness, have you ever heard of such a thing? And can there be any doubt as to what Obama meant when he twice mentioned — in very visible public settings — the need for ”a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as our military?...

President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address holds particular importance for me ever since I discovered that my great great grandfather was killed as a member of the New Jersey Infantry at the Battle of Gettysburg. In this video, screen legend Gregory Peck recites the now-famous speech which was originally delivered by Lincoln on the afternoon of Thursday, November 19, 1863. Happy Presidents Day! Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on...

Bush vs. Obama — Unemployment Rates and Annual Deficits

Posted 16 Feb 2012 in Barack Obama, Democrats, economy, unemployment
But it's all Bush's fault, right?

As we head into the 2012 campaign season, we’re bound to hear a lot more from President Obama how everything good is because of him and how everything bad is because of Bush. So let’s take another look at unemployment rates and annual deficits under Bush and Obama, courtesy of Don Surber: Yes, that 8.9% unemployment rate is so much better than the 6.6% rate in President Bush 43′s final year in office — or the 4.7% in 2007 when Barack Obama decided the economy was so bad that he was going to fix it. He fixed it all right. $1 of every $10 in the national economy now comes from federal borrowing. Indeed welfare is the largest growth...

Obama launches Thought Police 3.0: the “Truth Team”

If you “attack President Obama's record,” you can expect this.

President Obama has quite a history of tyrannical behavior and intolerance for his critics. And it’s looking like this year will be more of the same. During the 2008 campaign, candidate Barack Obama spiked his followers’ Kool-Aid with a website called Fight the Smears. He asked Missouri law enforcement to target his political opponents who “runs a misleading TV ad” (and he would determine what was misleading, of course). And he directed his supporters to target WGN for allowing an Obama critic to speak on the air. After he became president, he launched a flag@whitehouse.gov campaign in 2009 to get his supporters to snitch on people who spoke out against Obamacare. The Democratic National Committee launched a similar website called “Call ’Em Out”...

Obama contraception ‘accommodation’ still imposes state mandate on church

kiss-the-ring

It used to be that Liberals expressed their disdain for religion by telling people of faith that they must confine their beliefs within the church. President Obama went a step further and ordered religious organizations to provide contraception and abortion servicesto their employees, in direct contradiction to the Catholic Church’s position on the subject. The latest in a string of health care controversies exploded with the Jan. 20 announcement that religious congregations and organizations would be fined if they decline to provide their employees with health insurance that includes no-cost contraception and some abortion-related services. Obama’s decision was based on portions of his 2010 Affordable Care Act, which puts most of the nation’s medical sector under stringent government supervision. The...

Government dependency spikes 23% under Obama

Our Food Stamp President just made another historic achievement: more people hooked on the addictive drug of government assistance. The American public’s dependence on the federal government shot up 23% in just two years under President Obama, with 67 million now relying on some federal program, according to a newly released study by the Heritage Foundation. The conservative think tank’s annual Index of Dependence on Government tracks money spent on housing, health, welfare, education subsidies and other federal programs that were “traditionally provided to needy people by local organizations and families.” The increase under Obama is the biggest two-year jump since Jimmy Carter was president, the data show. The rise was driven mainly by increases in...
