On November 18, 1956, at the height of the Cold War, Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev famously said, “We will bury you!” while addressing Western ambassadors at the Polish embassy in Moscow. He was certain that the Soviet Union’s system of Communism was just and fair, and he believed firmly that every other nation would eventually become communist. Obviously, that didn’t happen.
