Obama stammers because he’s a genius?

incompetence

Lefty “journalists” are so deep in the tank for Dear Leader, they’ll say anything to cover for the fact that, without his electronic crutch, their messiah stutters like Colin Firth in The King’s Speech. Case in point, when describing President Obama’s faltering speech patterns, LA Times columnist Meghan Daum opines: “Barack Obama’s problem is not that he’s an intellectual. It’s that he sounds like an intellectual.” Sure. Peppering one’s speech with “Uh…uh…uh…” sounds like an intellectual! This really should come with a beverage alert… It’s not that Obama can’t speak clearly. It’s that he employs the intellectual stammer. Not to be confused with a stutter, which the president decidedly does not have, the intellectual stammer signals a brain that...

Three Muslims stoned a girl to death in Ukraine for the crime of entering a beauty contest. A teenage Muslim girl was stoned to death under ‘Sharia law’ after taking part in a beauty contest in Ukraine. Katya Koren, 19, was found dead in a village in the Crimea region near her home. Friends said she liked wearing fashionable clothes and had come seventh in a beauty contest.   Her battered body was buried in a forest and was found a week after she disappeared. Police have opened a murder investigation and are looking into claims that three Muslim youths killed her, claiming her death was justified under Islam. One of the three – named as 16-year-old Bihal Gaziev...

The Lone Marine

This man is the embodiment of honor and dedication: Despite his broken wrist, retired Marine Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers holds his salute to the 400,000+ veteran of Rolling Thunder for over 3 hours. WASHINGTON – In a city dedicated to monumental sacrifices, there’s one that stands strong and never surrenders. “It just gives me chills,” says Jennifer Phillips of Virginia Beach. “I can’t believe he’s out there.” Retired Marine Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers has stood at this post since 2002.”It’s an extremely long time to hold a salute that long,” says Air Force Master Sergeant Russ Ware of Columbia, MD. “Takes a lot determination and a lot of discipline. This guy does it every year.” With a stiff spine...

Memorial Day 2011 – Freedom Isn’t Free

Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery

The video below features many of America’s military memorials and a haunting rendition of Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” arranged in this instance for brass rather than choral performance. As Americans, we owe such a debt of gratitude to all the men and women who, throughout our history, have chosen to wear our country’s uniform and defend us. And even more so are we grateful to those who have willingly laid down their lives to preserve the freedoms of this great nation. By all means, enjoy your weekend celebrations. But please also take a few moments to reflect upon why we observe Memorial Day, and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. “Let no vandalism of avarice or...

I’m disappointed to see that our elected officials waited until the wee hours of the morning to pass a four-year extension of the odious Patriot Act. Not surprisingly, President Obama couldn’t be bothered to perform his primary duty to sign the legislation. He’ll allow an Autopen to carry out his responsibility. ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe (@jaffematt) and Devin Dwyer (@devindwyer) report:   Congress officially passed an extension of the Patriot Act tonight, just hours before key provisions of the national security law were due to lapse at midnight. President Obama, currently on an overseas trip, is not at the White House to sign the bill, a requirement for the measure to become law. So the White House will use an...

Obama boasts eroding 2nd Amendment “under the radar”

“Under the Radar” has a long and illustrious history

Transparency; the latest Obama promise thrown under the bus. If you’re bitterly clinging to your guns, rest assured that Dear Leader is working “under the radar” with Handgun Control, Inc. to regulate and eventually ban your Second Amendment rights. On March 30, the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, Jim Brady, who sustained a debilitating head wound in the attack, and his wife, Sarah, came to Capitol Hill to push for a ban on the controversial “large magazines.” Brady, for whom the law requiring background checks on handgun purchasers is named, then met with White House press secretary Jay Carney. During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the...

Feds want black boxes in cars

It’s not enough that .40¢ of every dollar gets sucked up by the government. Big Brother is now looking at a new way to charge you for every mile you drive. Yeah, that’ll help the economy! Beginning in June of 2011, all new cars manufactured and sold in the United States will be required to have a mandated black box device installed, which can be used to monitor several different physical and technical data points. On May 24th, a report on the new regulatations to be implemented by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) next month expands the program that in February was just in a consideration phase. The installation and use of these black boxes can have...
