Obama: Worried about $4.00 gas? Silly peon, just go buy a new car!
Now that Obama is concentrating on the campaign trail, he’s taken his eye off the teleprompter and his arrogance is showing again. When asked about rising gas prices, Marie Antoinette King Barry suggested that Americans should just buck up and buy a new car.
Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices, now averaging close to $3.70 a gallon nationwide, and suggested that the gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle.
“If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know,” Obama said laughingly. “You might want to think about a trade-in. You can get a great deal. I promise you, GM or Ford or Chrysler, they’re going to be happy to give you a deal on something that gets you better gas mileage.”
It figures that Obama thinks you should run your household just like he runs the federal government: just solve your problems by spending money you don’t have and get deeper in debt!
Unless you’re driving a Humvee H2, you’re not getting 8 miles to the gallon. Even cars in 1978 were getting around 18 mpg, and since 1985 they’ve averaged 27.5 mpg.
Sheesh! This moron can’t even get his straw man right.
