Ted Rall and MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan urge violent revolution by Democrats
You KNOW this would be the lead story on every news network and newspaper if this was someone from the Tea Party.
During his interview with Ted Rall, MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan stated:
“We are here with a very disconcerting question. Are things in our country so bad that it might be time for a revolution? The answer obviously is yes, the only question is how to do it.”
Rall offered a suggestion: kill Americans who don’t agree with his collectivist ideas.
In his new book The Anti-American Manifesto (yes, of course, he’s hawking a new book), Liberal “cartoonist” Ted Rall advocates violent revolution in order to overthrow America and institute a new Far-Left government, ostensibly based on socialist utopias like Cuba and Greece.
Below is a little tidbit from his new “manifesto.” Get this: he lumps the Tea Party in with the Aryan Nation (because, to him, wanting our government to remain within its Constitutionally-mandated limits is the same as white supremacism). And yes, he really does advocating killing anyone who doesn’t agree with his politics, because in his addled mind he assumes everyone on the Right is already spoiling for bloodshed. We are here because the U.S. is going to end soon. There’s going to be an intense, violent, probably haphazard struggle for control. It’s going to come down to us versus them. The question is: What are you going to do about it?…Christian fundamentalists, the millennial end-of-theworlders obsessed with the Left Behind series about the End Times, neo-Nazi racists, rural black-helicopter Michigan Militia types cut from the same inbred cloth as Timothy McVeigh, allied with “mainstream” gun nuts and right-wing Republicans, have been planning, preparing, and praying for the destruction of the “Godless,” “secular” United States for decades. Right-wing organizational names change, but they amount to the same thing: the reactionary sociopolitical force—the sole force—poised to fill the vacuum when collapse occurs. The scenario outlined by Margaret Atwood’s prescient novel The Handmaid’s Tale—rednecks in the trenches, hard military men running things, minorities and liberals taken away and massacred, setting the stage for an even more extreme form of laissez-faire corporate capitalism than we’re suffering under today—is a fair guess of how a post-U.S. scenario will play out unless we prepare to turn it in another direction…

The millions of partisans who follow Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and right-wing televangelists happen to be the best-armed people around, and they despise just about everyone who doesn’t think and pray like them. They will see collapse as affirmation of their beliefs that secular liberalism is destructive. They will also see it as an opportunity to create a new, ordered world atop the ashes. They will act to stop teenage sluts from getting abortions, teach niggers a lesson, and slaughter those spics, dots, and everyone else who doesn’t fit into their vision of what and who is right…
I want to kick people in the ass. To get them thinking. To get you thinking. I want you to understand the situation—your situation. I want you to see that revolt is a good idea, and that it has never been more necessary. I also want you to size up the opposition (both the government and the extreme right): They will never get weaker.We have as good a chance at taking them on as ever.
So much for the so-called fringe in the Tea Party movement. Rall and Ratigan prove that the Democrat party holds a Royal Flush in the World Series of Poker Crazy.

UPDATE: According to the provisions in Title 18, Part I, Chapter 115 of the U.S. Code, Rall and Ratigan are clearly engaging in sedition:
Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; orWhoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or
Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

UPDATE: It should come as no suprise that just last month, Rall expressed support for a communist-style dictatorship in the United States.
Maybe he didn’t get the memo that Obama won in 2008.

Clearly, the sanctimony sauce served by several MSNBC hosts to Sharron Angle won't be dished to Rall and Ratigan.
For what it's worth, I don't endorse Angle's remarks. But I do believe there's a marked difference between a last-ditch resistance against tyranny and using violence to "change the system entirely," as Rall puts it. He's calling for an armed revolution to install communism in the United States.

Putting down this insurrection they are talking about would be the most enjoyable forty-five minutes of my life.
Does this clown understand that he'd be sent off to a political re-education camp if he were spouting these ideas in Cuba or any other repressive government of the sort he's advocating? Does he understand that as a left of the moonbats liberal he's not allowed to own a firearm?
I guess he doesn't allow thought to get in the way of a good idea…

You put your finger on it. Cognitive dissonance is the hallmark of "progressive" ideology.
Obviously, this ass-hat doesn't realize that he's taking on a group(s) which has feared (and prepared for) this scenario for years.
Kind of hard to have an armed insurrection when you're allied with groups of people who have advocated gun control and don't for the most, part have any weapons.
Maybe they're planning to just talk their way back into power. Oh wait.. they tried that, it doesn't work.
