Tea Party protesters get violent

This weekend, angry mobs of Tea Party protesters took to the street with torches, smashing store windows and vandalizing businesses to show their anger.
Oh wait, did I say Tea Party? I meant leftist pro-illegal alien, open-borders anarchists in Santa Cruz.
A May Day rally in Santa Cruz erupted into chaos Saturday night when about 200 protesters, some with torches, stormed the city’s main street. Some smashed windows and spray-painted anarchist graffiti, police said.Jimi Haynes, 24, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism after witnesses saw him shatter two windows at a Pacific Avenue jewelry store, police said. They said Haynes, a parolee from Fresno County, had been in Santa Cruz for several weeks and had learned of the rally by picking up a flyer at a “local anarchist cafe.”
The incident started after protesters at a labor rally at the town clock marched down Pacific around 10:30 p.m., police said. At least 15 businesses were vandalized. A video posted on YouTube shows several people in masks smashing windows, with some others in the crowd confronting the vandals.

After months of warning that Tea Party protests would erupt into violence, a wave of vandalism and violence crested in Santa Cruz this weekend. Masked protesters wielding torches swarmed through the business district, smashing windows and chanting “the streets are on fire!” and “Revolution!” It’s exactly the kind of armed uprising that Tea Party critics predicted … except that it didn’t erupt at a Tea Party.
This just continues the pattern of “peaceful” protests on the part of those who advocate defiance of U.S. immigration law, like they did on 4/23/2010 when illegal alien supporters attacked police with rocks and bottles after the passage of Arizona S.B. 1070.
Surely, you’ve seen this footage all over the state-run media, right? They’ve come out in full force, denouncing those on Left who are dedicated to lawlessness and have no problem using violence to intimidate others, right?
Democrat pundits like Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews and Ed Shultz as well as lefty bloggers like Markos Moulitsas will sound off against this violence any minute now, right?

Funny, CBS had no problem giving voice to columnist Kathleen Parker’s baseless accusation that Tea Parties are “dangerous.”
Newsweek wasted no time in smugly calling Tea Parties “dangerous” and propagating smears of racism against conservative protesters.
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews loves to spout nonsense against the Tea Party movement.
ABC gave President Clinton a pulpit from which to maliciously slander Tea Party protesters as being right-wing extremists like Timothy McVeigh.
All this without a shred of evidence to support their allegations. But when the radical Left gets together and repeatedly shows their hateful tendencies, many so-called “journalists” look the other way and do their best to minimize the pattern of anti-American sentiment and violence on the fringes of the Democrat party.
Where are all these voices in the media now that there are multiple examples of actual violence and extremism from the Left to condemn?

UPDATE: No wonder there were so many Che signs visible… “May Day” is a holiday for socialists and labor union activists, euphemistically called “International Workers’ Day.” A fitting choice of scheduling for folks who seek to “change” America into a socialist European-style aberration of itself.

UPDATE: Santa Cruz wasn’t the only site of leftist violence. “Progressives” in San Francisco assaulted those in favor of federal law enforcement .
Three people were attacked and at least two others were arrested. The people assaulted were part of the Minutemen demonstration, a group in favor of Arizona’s new immigration law.They said a large group of immigrants’ rights supporters followed them to the BART station on Market Street and started punching and kicking them, and calling them names.
Note the media described the thugs in question as “immigrants’ rights supporters.” They’re NOT supporting immigrants, they’re supporting illegal invasion of the United States by those who have no regard for America’s sovereignty or laws. Calling these criminals “immigrants” is an affront to every person who has obeyed the rules and emigrated here legallly.

You owe us America!”
And the bottom half of the sign contains an even more disturbing threat:
“We will shoot more police in Arizona until we get free!”
Folks, laws like S.B. 1070 don’t cause racial profiling; asshats like the this do.
(Note — Electronic forensics tests are still being conducted on this image to determine its authenticity. But judging by the multitude of hateful leftist and blatantly communist signs visible on Berman Post from Saturday’s march in NYC Union Square, it’s entirely possible.)

Yea, why is it no NBC, CBS, ABC news networks carry this stuff? They have zero integrity. But, torches and pitchforks, that is classic. I wonder who will be the first casualty of a police escalated use of violence? Any takers?
