Debunked: Tea Partiers shouting racial slurs at Democrats

Ever since Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.) and Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) claimed that Tea Party protesters opposed to Obamacare spat on them and shouted the “N-Word” at them “at least 15 times,” Andrew Breitbart issued a $10,000 reward for any footage proving their allegation. The dinosaur media seems to have given up the search for evidence, but progressives haven’t stopped repeating the smear. And it’s still posted on numerous sites as though it were fact (here are just a few examples).

But Breitbart’s organization, on the other hand, hasn’t stopped rooting this one out. Here’s the footage they found…from several angles and locations.

Yesterday, we revealed yesterday’s examination of Rep. Andre Carson’s contemporaneous account that he gave reporters versus actual video footage of the events at the Cannon Office Building. The video showing the congressmen walking down the steps unencumbered by the hostile, racist mob that we had been told was there proved that Rep. Carson’s description was exaggerated at best, fabricated at worst.

We asked our readers for any other footage and testimonials they might have from that day in Washington DC. In the true spirit of citizen journalists holding our government accountable, we received many tips. The following compilation further exposes the myth that Rep. Carson passed on to the eager media that day.

UPDATE: My blog buddy Mean ‘Ol Meany reminds me that Breitbart has upped his offer to $100,000 for video evidence of Tea Party racial slurs against Lewis and Carson. Of course, the possibility always exists that something will surface which will prove their story true. But I’m pretty certain Breitbart’s money is safe.

Who did not know they were lying from the jump? WHO?

By the way, Breitbart upped the ante to 100k at the Searchlight Rally.
