Obama knows when you’ve made enough money

I was literally sickened by what I heard from our Redistributor-In-Chief as he gave a speech on the campaign trail at a Town Hall meeting yesterday in Quincy, Illinois: We’re not, we’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think, at a certain point, you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy. What kind of Marxist tripe is that? It sounds like a paraphrase of...

Debunked: Tea Partiers shouting racial slurs at Democrats

Posted 27 Apr 2010 in Democrats, healthcare, media bias, racism, teaparty

Ever since Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.) and Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) claimed that Tea Party protesters opposed to Obamacare spat on them and shouted the “N-Word” at them “at least 15 times,” Andrew Breitbart issued a $10,000 reward for any footage proving their allegation. The dinosaur media seems to have given up the search for evidence, but progressives haven’t stopped repeating the smear. And it’s still posted on numerous sites as though it were fact (here are just a few examples). But Breitbart’s organization, on the other hand, hasn’t stopped rooting this one out. Here’s the footage they found…from several angles and locations. Yesterday, we revealed yesterday’s examination of Rep. Andre Carson’s contemporaneous account that he gave reporters versus...

ABC: ‘Mostly Peaceful’ Immigration Protests vs. ‘Very Ugly’ Tea Party Rallies

Posted 26 Apr 2010 in illegal immigration, media bias, teaparty

A little over a week ago, President Bill Clinton scolded Tea Party protesters, claiming that their outrage against Congress’ unchecked actions could lead to violence. “Before the bombing occurred, there was a sort of fever in America,” Clinton said at a symposium commemorating the 15th anniversary of the bombing. “Meanwhile, the fabric of American life had been unraveling. More and more people who had a hard time figuring out where they fit in, it is true that we see some of that today.” The loosely organized Tea Party movement burst onto the scene last year with thousands of Americans protesting financial bailouts and what they saw as too much government spending. Since then, the movement has become increasingly political...

Alfonzo Rachel strikes back

Posted 22 Apr 2010 in humor, media bias, teaparty

If you’ve been reading my blog, you saw that I attended the Lone Star Tea Party here in Dallas last week. And my favorite speaker of the event was Alfonzo Rachel. Well, someone did a fine job of capturing a portion of Rachel’s speech, which I’d like to share. It’s well worth your time. Not everyone enjoyed Rachel’s speech as much as I did. A New York Times op-ed writer Charles Blow attended the Tea Party rally in hopes of finding racism and ignorance. When he couldn’t find evidence to support his bias (in fact finding evidence to the contrary), he dismissed the entire event out of hand, calling it a “mistrel show.” They saved the best for last,...

Leadership: you’re doing it wrong

Posted 21 Apr 2010 in Barack Obama, Democrats, humor, socialism

Brilliant cartoon via Michael RamirezSo much for “the consent of the governed.” Rasmussen has the numbers, and it doesn’t bode well for President Obama or the Democrats. Sixty-one percent (61%) of all voters now say the nation is heading down the wrong track, down slightly from last week but just one point above the lowest level of pessimism measured since last October.…Support for repeal of the recently-passed national health care plan is proving to be just as consistent as opposition to the plan before it was passed. Fifty-six percent (56%) now think the plan should be repealed. …Just 35% of voters believe the new health care law will be good for the country, while 52% believe it will be...

So much for Obama’s "firm pledge": The truth about Obama’s tax lies.

Posted 19 Apr 2010 in Barack Obama, Democrats, hypocrisy, lies, taxes

Remember back in 1988 when candidate George H. W. Bush pledged “Read my lips: no new taxes”? And then as president, when the Democrat-controlled House & Senate persuaded him to raise taxes as part of the 1990 budget, the media had a field day excoriating Bush for breaking his promise. Remember that? During the 2008 campaign, then-candidate Obama repeatedly made the same promise. But he was even more explicit in his promise against tax increases. “I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.” And last...

8,000 patriots at the Lone Star Tea Party in Dallas!

Posted 16 Apr 2010 in conservatism, patriotism, teaparty

Yesterday’s Lone Star Tea Party was a huge success. QuickTrip Park was packed with about 8,000 people, the biggest crowd it’s ever held. With numbers like this, the dinosaur media couldn’t ignore us the way they did last year. But I’ll bet they were sorely disappointed: I didn’t see any birthers or “9-11 was an inside job” nutcases, nor did I see any misspelled angry signs fomenting violence (contrast that with what regularly happens at leftist rallies). And there was definitely no racism of any kind. In fact, about half the speakers on the stage were not white. Are you listening, MSNBC? It’s refreshing to see that those on the outside looking in are being forced to change their...

Lone Star Tea Party today!

Posted 15 Apr 2010 in conservatism, patriotism, teaparty

Come join me today at the Lone Star Tea Party! It’s gonna be a great time with many inspiring speakers and plenty of fellowship with like-minded citizens favoring smaller (and more constitutional) government, less taxes, more personal responsibility and state sovereignty. APRIL 15, 2010Doors open at 4:30 pmMain Event from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm QUIKTRIP PARK1600 Lone Star ParkwayGrand Prairie, Texas I’ll have a few of my “Don’t Tread On Texas” shirts on hand in men’s & women’s styles.—Note: In a lame attempt to marginalize patriotic Americans all over the country, the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist Movement and other leftist organizations are planning to “crash the Tea Party.” They just can’t stand the fact that the majority of Americans oppose...
