A song for Martha Coakley: "The State of Massachusetts"
Ok, the lyrics aren’t a perfect match but there are a few lines that reminded me of the contentious race between Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown. So it’s a good excuse to post something by one of my favorite bands, Dropkick Murphys.
“She had excuses and she chose to use them……I supposed you’ve been a victim
Though I suspect you may have lied…”
And the song’s money line nails the inevitable result if Massachusetts voters put Coakley into Ted Kennedy’s vacant Senate seat and ensure the government’s takeover of our healthcare system:
“…these kids don’t stand a chance with you in their future!”
