Barney Frank: "We Are Trying On Every Front To Increase The Role Of Government"
Don’t look now, Dems, but your ass is showing. Again.
In a rare bit of honesty, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) slipped and admitted that Democrats are “trying on every front to increase the role of government.” (h/t: Real Clear Politics)
This seems to fit a pattern. Over the past few years, the hubris of liberals has had them publicly admitting — and sometimes even bragging about — their socialist and totalitarian plans, which includes the growth in size and scope of the federal government.
White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel tipped the unscrupulous hand of the administration with his “Never allow a serious crisis to go to waste” philosophy, wherein catastrophes provide Democrats with “opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before.” They’re counting on beleaguered Americans to give in to Democrat/Marxist dogma that they wouldn’t otherwise tolerate.
When Hillary Clinton was campaigning to be president, she came right out and admitted during a DNC meeting, “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”
And President Obama himself has, on many occasions, spoken in favor of “redistributive change” and his desire to “spread the wealth around.”
What’s it going to take before We The People rise up and throw these big-government statists out of office? How plainly do they need to state their anti-American agenda before we realize how close to the cliff we truly are. They will continue to expand the government’s power over every aspect of our lives, abridging our liberty and bastardizing our country, until we put a stop to them.
