In his quest for a totalitarian takeover of America’s health care system, President Obama keeps lying to America with his specious claim, “…if you like your current health care plan, you’ll be able to keep it,” as if his true intent isn’t to ruin the private health care industry and put it in the hands of the federal government. But his recent soothing rhetoric doesn’t square with what he’s had to say on the subject when he was able to openly speak his mind to those who eagerly swallowed his utoptian Kool-Aid.
In his 6/15/09 address to the American Medical Association, President Obama attempted to demagogue his critics and knavishly deny his extreme goals in putting forth a “public option”:
“Let me address an illegitimate concern that is being put forward by those who are claiming that a public option is somehow a Trojan Horse for a single-payer system.”
At the AFL/CIO “Civil, Human and Women’s Rights Conference” in 2003, he had this to say about government-run health care:
“I happen to be a proponent of single-payer health care plan, universal health care plan. That’s what I’d like to see.”
And if you go back to what he had to say on during the presidential campaign on March 24, 2007 at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Health Care Forum, he sang quite a different tune when speaking to an audience was more receptive to his Marxist solution:
“My commendment is to make sure we’ve got Universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term as President…I would hope that we could set up a system, uh, that allows those who can go through their employer to access a Federal system or a state pool of some sort…but I don’t think we’re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There’s going to be potentially some transition process I can envision a decade out or 15 years out or 20 years out…”
Make no mistake, President Obama knows that the American public DOES NOT WANT NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE. And he knows he can no longer be truthful about what he wants. So he spouts some carefully-prepared soundbites to allay the fears of the average citizen who won’t look any deeper than the mainstream media’s biased coverage, hoping we won’t remember what he’s had to say about his true intentions.
Don’t believe the rhetoric. And don’t be deterred by those who attempt to change the subject by saying, “Oh yeah, well what’s your alternative?” As if one needs to have a better alternative to being robbed and enslaved in order to forestall either.
Once Obama installs a massive federal bureacracy to run America’s health care, We The People will NEVER regain control. And that’s what he’s counting on. That’s why Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are attempting to ram this legislation through at breakneck speed, regardless of the fact that most in Congress haven’t even read the 1,000+ page bill. If they can manage to “cover 47 million uninsured” (a blatantly false number), they feel they will have cemented a permanent majority of constituents by essentially paying them off with “free” health care. And sadly, they might be correct in that assessment.
Join the fight. Call your elected representatives (if you don’t know already, find their name and phone number here) and tell them you don’t want their “public option.” Sign the online petition, too. There are nearly 1 MILLION Americans who have done so already!
