More accusations from Obama, more Freudian projection
I was doing my best to contain a violent case of reverse peristalsis caused by a servile MSNBC article about President Obama today, and one quote in particular really jumped out at me. Obama seems to have developed a Freudian habit of projecting his own behavior upon his opponents.
“We all know this has been an emotional debate,” he told supporters assembled at the Democratic National Committee headquarters on Capitol Hill. “We’ve seen tempers flare, accusations have been hurled, and sometimes it seems like one loud voice can drown out all the civil, sensible voices out there. But remember one thing: Nothing’s more powerful than millions of voices calling for change.”
Just like a broken clock is right twice a day, the president has managed to stumble across the truth. It just happens to be the opposite of what he said. Petard hoist:
- Obama made this into an emotional debate by attempting to shame us with his fallacious 47 million uninsured claim and to scare us with his dire warnings of everything from skyrocketing premiums and out-of-pocket costs to outright loss of coverage
- Obama’s temper flared when he urged his union thugs to “punch back twice as hard” against citizens who dare to speak out at Town Hall Meetings
- Obama has been the one hurling accusations, saying that anyone who opposes his path to single-payer, government-run health care is “spreading misinformation” and “bearing false witness” (a dandy bit of religious hypocrisy, that)
- Obama has been the one attempting to silence all the civil, sensible voices of dissent with his KGB-style program urging citizens to report their neighbors for being “fishy”
In addition to actually reading the bill he’s proposing to inflict on the rest of the country, President Obama might do well to look into the mirror once in a while rather than his teleprompter.
And heed the millions of voices calling for him to change his strongarm tactics and communist goals.
