Obama Admits He’s "Not Familiar" With House Bill

Following the inept and alarming example set by Congress passing legislation they have not fully read, President Obama is attempting to foist a $1.5 trillion dollar healthcare nightmare upon America, with whose details he is admittedly not familiar! With the public’s trust in his handling of health care tanking (50%-44% of Americans disapprove), the White House has launched a new phase of its strategy designed to pass Obamacare: all Obama, all the time. As part of that effort, Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible. During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed...

"Make Mine Freedom"

This 50 year old cartoon illustrates just how much America has already forgotten about history and the nature of liberty. What’s scary is just how closely Dr. Utopia’s message resembles President Obama and the Democrat Party. “Make Mine Freedom” delivers a vitally important message. Produced in 1948, at the beginning of the Cold War, it underscores how utopian fantasies can lead to extreme forms of statism. Exposing the poisonous effects of collectivism and its appealing philosophy, this animated short film explains why American free enterprise is the antidote to the tyranny of the government-issued “-ism.”

Happy Independence Day!

I’m attempting to import my blog, and for some reason all my posts got doubled. So I’m having to go back and delete them all and I’ll try to re-publish and get this thing rolling again. However, since it’s Independence Day, I couldn’t let the day go by without at least something patriotic. This is one of my favorite renditions of The Star Spangled Banner, sung by Whitney Houston at Super Bowl XXV in 1991. I’m heading out to the Dallas Tea Party today to celebrate a free America, I hope to meet some of you out there. My sincere thanks go out to all the brave men & women in our armed forces, past & present, who make...

Conservatives to "Go Galt" on July 30

Back in February, I participated in the Tea Party protests here in Dallas & Ft. Worth. And I plan to attend the big July 4th Tea Party at Southfork in Dallas this Saturday. Although I’ve seen a lot of placards saying “Atlas will shrug” and have heard a lot about Conservatives wanting to “Go Galt” in protest to our government’s runaway spending and irresponsibility, this is the first protest I’ve seen intended to send a financial message to our elected representatives. On July 30th, Conservatives are “Going Galt”. On that date, we are asking Conservatives all across the nation to “Call in Conservative”. On July 30th, Conservatives will not work, we will not buy. Instead, we will spend time...
