Gators roll over ‘Bama Tide 31-20 to win SEC Championship
Perhaps the only perceived flaw in Florida’s eight-game winning streak entering the SEC Championship Game was that the Gators had made things look too easy. They hadn’t been hardened with a tough victory.Nobody can say that after Saturday’s come-from-behind 31-20 victory against top-ranked and previously unbeaten Alabama in the Georgia Dome.
There, behind game MVP Tim Tebow’s 273 combined rushing and passing yards but most of all his determination and leadership, the Gators (12-1) most likely earned their way into theBCS Championship Game on Jan. 8 in Miami. And waiting should be Oklahoma, the Big 12 champion.
