It’s the "getting caught up" roundup!

Posted 09 Mar 2007 in Democrats, liberals, Newt Gingrich

On John Couey’s conviction: I think it’s great the the jury found this monster guilty of kidnapping little 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford from her bed, raping her, and then burying her alive in two plastic bags. Now we’re waiting on what the sentence will be. Does the Florida penal system perhaps have a sentence that involves dragging the guilty behind a car until he’s nothing but bloody bones? No? Damn. And unfortunately, we don’t have a punishment that includes doing the exact same thing to him that he did to his victim. I can only hope he’ll have his cornhole ripped apart several times a day by many large, angry men in prison. After society gets some justice prison-style, I’d like to see a similar punishment meted out to the parole board which released this repeat sexual offender.

On “Scooter” Libby’s conviction: He didn’t leak an undercover operative’s secret identity, as was originally alleged. And he’s not “guilty in CIA leak case” as is being misrepresented in the press. But he did lie under oath, and he’s busted on that. Now that he’s been found guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice, will we see him get the same punishment that was handed to Bill Clinton (as in, no punishment at all, just a few fines that were paid off by Hollywood friends)? After all, isn’t that case the ultimate in legal precedent?

Ann Coulter’s “faggot” remark: Idiot. I like some of what she says, mainly because I like how it chaps the collective asses of Liberals. But she went way too far with her invective against John Edwards. He’s so incompetent, she could have ripped him apart easily on the facts without getting personal and ugly. Now she’s made him a martyr to the Left and has probably given his campaign a huge boost. Idiot.

Newt Gingrich’s affair: Who. Cares. Oh, the guy who led the charge after President Clinton was having an affair of his own. So what? Granted, it’s slimy and hypocritical, but at least Gingrich didn’t break any laws about it. Breaking the law was what the Clinton impeachment was about. Besides, when confronted about it, Gingrich sure as hell didn’t wag his finger in the face of the American public and deny what he did. He admitted it. His personal life is fraught with mistakes. Shockeroo.

The Walter Reed disgrace: Not a single politician has the moral high ground to act surprised about this. The slipshod treatment of our soldiers has been going on for years, while elected officials of both parties turned a blind eye in favor of their own greedy interests. Just get it fixed, you moronic buffoons. Stop trying to play politics with this one and do the right thing for once.
