I’ve been kinda slackin’ about blogging current events this week. Just have been super-busy at work as well as in my personal life. I’ve wanted to comment on a lot of recent events in the news. But the actions of some of my fellow Americans really has had me at a loss for words until today.
It still disgusts me that Democrats continue to try to force their cowardly retreat plan on our soldiers. And have been trying like mad to make political hay out of the lawful firing of 8 US attorneys.
But on top of all that, it bums me out to see how the “hate America first” crowd (h/t: Pam) – Code Pink, ANSWER, MoveOn.org, et al – has really stepped up their rabid derision of our nation. Over the past week, certain Americans (if I can even call them that) have taken to the streets in several cities, displaying such utter comtempt and ignorance, it pains me that they are fellow countrymen.
As one might expect, there have been some distinct differences between the behavior of those on the Left and those on the Right. Zombie has an extensive collection of pics from Saturday’s ANSWER rally in San Francisco. Michelle Malkin and Blogmeister USA have plenty more pics and firsthand accounts of the event in Washington, DC. Tantor also has an excellent collection of photos from the DC rally which displays the hateful underbelly of the far Left. The contrast between patriots (like the Gathering of Eagles) and the frothing anti-war lunatics has never been more apparent.
For instance, compare the actions and attitudes of both sides:

… sedition, dishonor, and treason on the Left.
In addition to their usual “America sucks” signs and socialist propaganda, here’s how the extreme Left demonstrates their “support” for our troops:
- smearing a recruiting station in human feces
- burning our soldiers in effigy as well as the US flag
- tearing up the flagand what would an anti-American anti-war gathering be without spitting?
I no longer question their patriotism, as it’s obviously a moot point.
