Marines ban large tattoos?

Posted 29 Mar 2007 in Iraq, personal, stupidity, war

Ok, this one really pisses me off. And not just because of the slanted nature of the headline, either. Marines ban big, garish tattoos Five tattooed skulls stretch from Marine Cpl. Jeremy Slaton’s right elbow to his wrist, spelling out the word “Death.” He planned to add a tattoo spelling “Life” on his left arm, but that’s on hold because of a Marine policy taking effect Sunday. The Marines are banning any new, extra-large tattoos below the elbow or the knee, saying such body art is harmful to the Corps’ spit-and-polish image. Slaton and other grunts are not pleased. “I guess I’ll get the other half later,” grumbled the 24-year-old leatherneck from Eden Prairie, Minn. “It’s kind of messed...

I am John Doe

Effing brilliant. Michelle Malkin has taken one step further the momentum of yesterday’s House vote to protect responsible “John Doe” citizens. It’s The John Doe Manifesto: Dear Muslim Terrorist Plotter/Planner/Funder/Enabler/Apologist, You do not know me. But I am on the lookout for you. You are my enemy. And I am yours. I am John Doe. I am traveling on your plane. I am riding on your train. I am at your bus stop. I am on your street. I am in your subway car. I am on your lift. I am your neighbor. I am your customer. I am your classmate. I am your boss. I am John Doe. I will never forget the example of the passengers of...

House votes to protect attentive Americans

Posted 28 Mar 2007 in 9/11, Republicans, terrorism

Almost 6 years after 9-11, it’s nice to see that some of us haven’t entirely forgotten. And refuse to be cowed by jihadists and radical Islamists: House votes to protect Americans who report potential terrorist activity. House Republicans today surprised Democrats with a procedural vote to protect public-transportation passengers from being sued if they report suspicious activity — the first step by lawmakers to protect “John Doe” airline travelers already targeted in a lawsuit by Muslim imams that charges profiling. The introduction of a motion to recommit the Rail and Public Transportation Security Act of 2007 back to committee with instructions to add the protective language was introduced by Rep. Peter T. King, New York Republican and ranking member...

Leftist craps on American flag [UPDATE: No, he's not an Occupy protester]

American_Fla_desecration

And here I thought the Left’s nauseating display of seditious cowardice last week couldn’t get any more sickening. Leave it to the anti-war protesters to demonstrate just how “progressive” the Democrat party has become. Perhaps the most disturbing scene of the afternoon, however, involved the man who pulled down his pants in front of women and children and defecated on a burning U.S. flag. This disgusting act actually elicited cheers from some members of the crowd … No word yet whether this cretin will be spokesman for Hillary or Obama. — UPDATE: There have been a lot of disgusting, lawless, and violent actions committed by the anti-American cretins in the Occupy Wall Street movement (including pooping in the street...

Hillary ’08: the definition of insanity

Posted 26 Mar 2007 in Democrats, healthcare, Hillary Clinton, liberals

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. I guess this should come as no surprise. Hillary Promises Universal Healthcare If Elected (CBS/AP) DES MOINES, Iowa Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton vowed Monday to create a universal health care system if elected, saying she “learned a lot” during the failed health care effort of her husband’s presidency. “We’re going to have universal health care when I’m president — there’s no doubt about that. We’re going to get it done,” the New York senator and front-runner for the 2008 nomination said. Rumor has it that her administration will also create flying cars and moving sidewalks, fix the hole...

Both sides now

I’ve been kinda slackin’ about blogging current events this week. Just have been super-busy at work as well as in my personal life. I’ve wanted to comment on a lot of recent events in the news. But the actions of some of my fellow Americans really has had me at a loss for words until today. It still disgusts me that Democrats continue to try to force their cowardly retreat plan on our soldiers. And have been trying like mad to make political hay out of the lawful firing of 8 US attorneys. But on top of all that, it bums me out to see how the “hate America first” crowd (h/t: Pam) – Code Pink, ANSWER, MoveOn.org, et...

Religion of Peace update: Muslim tolerance at school

Once again, Muslims “tolerate” someone to death. This time, for simply touching a Koran. Muslim pupils kill teacherMuslim pupils at a secondary school in northeastern Nigeria beat a teacher to death today after accusing her of desecrating the Koran. Oluwatoyin Olusase, a Christian, was adjudicating an Islamic Religious Knowledge exam at the school in Gombe state when the incident occurred. The students attacked her outside the school compound after the exam and killed her, witnesses said. It was not clear exactly what Olusase had done that angered the students. But there’s a hint later in the same article. At least five people were killed and several churches burned down in February 2006 in the neighbouring state of Bauchi by...
