Titanic offense

Remember how thousands of Muslims rioted over the “Mohammed cartoons,” burning businesses and killing dozens of innocent people over a perceived slight of their prophet?

Well, today I’m wondering if Christians around the world will soon be torching cars and television stations as well as calling for the beheading of everyone responsible for the production of James Cameron’s new Discovery Channel “special”.

New scientific evidence, including DNA analysis conducted at one of the world’s foremost molecular genetics laboratories, as well as studies by leading scholars, suggests a 2,000-year-old Jerusalem tomb could have once held the remains of Jesus of Nazareth and his family.

The findings also suggest that Jesus and Mary Magdalene might have produced a son named Judah.

This documentary sounds like a lot of rubbish to me, because if Jesus had a family we would have heard about it long before now. This serves no purpose other than to attempt to discredit the Bible and the ideology of Christians.

So, will we be seeing hundreds of thousands of protesters roaming the streets today, calling for blood? Will hundreds of people be murdered due to the outrage of Christians who see this as an affront to their beliefs? Or will we see a civil expression of disapproval from Christians who are offended at the shoddy use of science being used to challenge the divinity of Jesus? I’ll wager that this will scarcely even cause a ripple on the news, in sharp contrast to what we’ve seen from many followers of The Religion of Peace™. It’s sad that the two religions are handled so differently in the press.
