Excuse me, what’s the pizza exchange rate?

President Bush and the Democrats have done so much to help illegal immigrants that we now have a Dallas restaurant chain that will accept Mexican pesos.

“We’re trying to reach out to our core customer,” Antonio Swad, president of Pizza Patrón Inc., said Friday. “We know they come back [from Mexico] and have pesos left over. We want to be a convenient place for them to spend their pesos.”

That’s really great. I wonder, will Pizza Patrón also be willing to accept dinar if I’ve just come back from Kuwait and happen to have a few left over? ‘Cause, ya know, I’ll need to have someplace to spend dinar here in the metroplex.

We’re not a border town, nor a tourist locale. Dallas is an American city. And America uses dollars, last time I checked. Or does this now mean I can also use yuan to order some General Tso Chicken? And rupees if I wanna get some good Indian curry?

Or is it perhaps that we’re allowing illegal immigrants WAY too much latitude?
