Democrats force Bolton resignation

John Bolton was forced to tender his resignation because his confirmation was (do I even need to say it?) blocked by Democrats. It makes me sad. At a time when – more than ever – we need a strong presence at the U.N., America’s vital interests are hamstrung by petty politicians with a score to settle.

Unable to win Senate confirmation, U.N. Ambassador John Bolton will step down when his recess appointment expires soon, the White House said Monday.

I guess this weekend’s freezing temperatures weren’t part of a meteorological clipper system, it was simply the Democrats’ new atmosphere of bipartisanship.
