Another Season of Love
Here we are at the end of 2006. Celebrate and remember a year in the life of friends. This song is very poignant to that end. Take time today to look back on how you’ve spent this year. Cling to what’s good, let go of what’s not. And move forward into 2007.
For me, it doesn’t get any better than what I’ve had this year. I’ve had some of my lowest lows of my entire life this year. But I’ve also had some of the best times ever, too. I’ve got my family, of course, and I’m more than grateful for them. And I have a few friends that have stuck by me since high school (that’s the best!). But I’ve also got several new friends for the first time in a long time, and they have added such a depth to my daily existence that I can’t fully express it here.
And, of course, I have traci. She’s the coolest and best person I’ve ever met. And she shows me more love than I’m even capable of comprehending. I’m so crazy about this woman, but I’ll leave it at that so you don’t all begin projectile vomiting on your keyboards (too late!). She’s more than I could have asked for, and more than I deserve. With all the bad stuff I’ve done in my life, I must have done a few good things as well to have God bless me with her.
Happy New Year!
525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes – how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes – how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love? How about love? How about love?
Measure in love. Seasons of love.525,600 minutes! 525,000 journeys to plan.
525,600 minutes – how can you measure the life
of a woman or a man?In truths that she learned? Or in times that he cried?
In bridges he burned? Or the way that she died? It’s time now to sing out, tho the story never ends
let’s celebrate, remember a year in the life of friends.
Remember the love! Remember the love!
Remember the love! Measure in love.
Seasons of love!
