WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A week after winning back control of the U.S. Congress, divided Democrats in the House defied incoming speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday and elected Steny Hoyer to be majority leader, a Democratic Party aide said.
The vote wasn’t even close: 149-86. What was she thinking when she nominated Jack “Captain Cut-N-Run” Murtha as majority leader? That’s some fine leadership there, Nancy. Not only are you out of touch with the rest of the country, you’re out of touch with your own damn party.
The next two years are gonna be plenty interesting. I’m gonna go get some popcorn…
