American traitor gets only 28 months

A lawyer helps jihadis bent on murdering Americans and winds up getting less time in prison than if she had been convicted of forgetting to feed her cats.

NEW YORK – Civil rights lawyer Lynne Stewart was sentenced Monday to 28 months in prison on a terrorism charge for helping a client who plotted to blow up New York City landmarks communicate with his followers.

Sadly, Osama Bin Laden was right about one thing.

America is soft.

I believe he described us as a “paper tiger.” And Liberals in this country continue to do their damnedest to prove him right.

The media is calling Lynne Stewart a “civil rights” lawyer. But actually, she was more like a terrorist apprentice. She acted as an attorney for Omar Abdel-Rahman, the blind Egyptian sheik sentenced to life in prison for plotting to blow up five New York landmarks and assassinate Egypt’s president. But I don’t take issue that she defended him in court. The problem I have is that Stewart helped Abdel-Rahman by delivering secret messages from him to his followers. She helped him issue a fatwa.

That’s material assistance to a terrorist. Enabling further plans for murder.

Also known as TREASON.

But the attorneys for this subhuman hag managed to get her conviction reduced to a mere 28 months in prison, rather than the 30 years requested by the prosecution. Their argument? Oh, she’s sick, you can’t put her in prison, she’ll die!

Stewart, 67, could have faced up to 30 years in prison. She smiled as the judge announced his decision to send her to prison for less than 2 1/2 years.

“If you send her to prison, she’s going to die. It’s as simple as that,” defense lawyer Elizabeth Fink had told the judge before the sentence was pronounced.

Someone remind me where that’s our problem? This woman wanted to help a jihadist carry out his murderous plans, and now we’re supposed to be concerned she might die?

I think we need to MAKE SURE she dies. Not only as punishment for her crime, but as an example.

We should NOT tolerate treason.

Although, unfortunately, we’ve been looking the other way for years. Liberals dedicate most of their attention and energy to doing so. Don’t listen in on terrorists’ conversation. Don’t track their financial records. Don’t interrogate them. Don’t offend them!

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the judge in this case was a Clinton appointee. And that George Soros has his dirty fingers in this case, too, helping finance her defense.

This is what Democrats bring to the table. Remember that when you vote next month. Liberal self-loathing and obeisance continue to rot America at its very core.

How can we survive when we tolerate and encourage traitors in our midst?
