Who speaks for Islam?

With Muslim violence being rekindled this week, why aren’t we hearing an official condemnation from Islam’s top cleric(s) against barbarism and bloodshed? Why is there no official position on jihad (aside from the fact that it seems that one hand conveniently ignores the blood on the other hand)? We keep hearing that Islam is a “religion of peace,” yet there seem to be no end of Muslims who are happy to tell you the exact opposite.

Who IS in charge when it comes to official Muslim orthodoxy? Who are we to believe? Good people like this, who seem afraid to speak? Or the louder and more numerous voices we’ve been hearing for years?

The conversation in the above clip sounds quite honest about the nature of Islam. And just the sort of thing CAIR doesn’t want America to see or hear. Really makes me wonder.

It’s a clip from Lebanese TV last year, with Lebanese terrorist-turned-”researcher” Anis Al-Naqqash speaking in support of the terror attacks in London, the US, and Arab countries. Does he speak truthfully about the nature of Islam? As a Muslim, does he “have it right?”

“Islam is one of the greatest advocates of violence, when violence Is warranted…”

Ay, there’s the rub.

When is violence warranted? Judging by history, it’s warranted whenever Muslims don’t get their way. And like children thowing a tantrum, they believe must be allowed to act out their anger against whoever and for however long they wish it, without reprisal or consequence from the rest of the world.

And according to this guy, ALL Muslims have a duty to commit terrorism.

“What is the duty of every Muslim in the world? Whether in New York, Cairo, Beiruit, or anywhere else? Did God draw these geographic borders for us, or did he tell us we are one nation? When any limb of it aches, the whole body responds in sleeplessness, and fever. When blood is spilled in Iraq, and holy lands are occupied in Palestine, Iraq, and other countries, and there is an enemy who occupies, strikes, and bombs, every person must resist this enemy to the best of his ability. I return to politics and I say: the U.S. is the enemy of the Arabs, of the Muslims, and of humanity, and every person must resist it to the best of his ability. If he can resist with weapons, it is his simple and logical duty mandated by the Koran, his religion, and his humanity.”

Terrorist attacks are mandated by a person’s humanity? What a bizarre choice of words. It’s his simple and logical duty to blow up women and children, and it’s mandated by the terrorist’s “humanity?” And, clearly, it’s mandated by the Koran, according to this guy.

Why is it that when I point out disturbing patterns like this, I’m accused of being a racist and bigot by those on the Left that don’t want to acknowledge the mindset of totalitarian Muslims who wish to subjugate or murder all Americans?

Ok then, Lefties. Listen to it from their own mouths.
