ACLU wants voter fraud for illegals and the dead

Ah, Liberals. Is there no depth to which you refuse to sink?

Nope, not if we’re judging by Democrats and the ACLU.

Now they’ve got their underoos in a bunch over the “Federal Election Integrity Act of 2006″ (H.R. 4844) which was passed by the House yesterday. The bill would require voters to show proof of citizenship in order to vote.

Yeah, I know. Pretty radical idea, huh?

I guess the ACLU is all up in arms about it because they’re worried that millions of dead people and illegal aliens are going to have a tough time voting for Democrats with this restriction in place.

Liberals are trotting out flimsy excuses like;
“This is going to turn back the clock”
“It erects unnecessary barriers to voter participation”
“Voter ID bill is an attempt to suppress the votes of millions of American citizens!”
and typical distortions like calling this the “Harder To Vote” Act.

Gimme a major frickin’ break.

They ACLU is actually going so far as to describe this bill as a “poll tax”. How ludicrous! If you live in this country, you already have to provide a photo ID for everything from cashing a check to buying your groceries. Voting is so much more important, and making sure voters are legitimate shouldn’t be something we have to argue about.

Besides, with all the fuss and accusations by Dems over the past two elections, you’d think liberals would be happy to have another safeguard against voter fraud.

Silly me.
