It IS Hezbollah’s fault

Posted 31 Jul 2006 in 9/11, jihadists, liberals, terrorism, war

The ongoing Arab/Israeli conflict is rarely this clear. Israel is certainly not innocent of any wrongdoing, but they’re not the bad guys in this current situation. They are acting in self-defense (and agressively so) against a cowardly foe whose hatred of Israel exceeds their concern for the women and children they are hiding behind to launch their attacks. I’ve been saying it for a few weeks now. And finally, the proof is coming out. These Hezbollah bastards could stop the deaths of Lebanese civilians at any time, primarily by not launching their attacks against Israel from within residential areas. THIS is the picture that damns Hezbollah. It is one of several, smuggled from behind Lebanon’s battle lines, showing that...

Blogging from hell – OPEN THREAD

I’m currently busy with a huge project, prolly won’t be able to blog anything until later this afternoon. So I’ll make this an open thread to discuss any current issue you’d like. Hezbollah’s leader hiding in Iran, Hezbollah guerillas hiding behind the U.N. post in Lebanon, Andrea Yates getting away with murder, stem cell research, India’s banning of certain blogs which highlight Muslim atrocities, DNC Chairman Howard Dean’s blathering against Rep. Katherine Harris, or even that boobalicious statue of Hillary.

Yates declared "not guilty" of murder

Posted 26 Jul 2006 in insanity

The verdict today was “not guilty by reason of insanity.” What the jury forgot to include was that the insanity part refers to themselves! What were these idiots thinking? Andrea Yates drowned her 5 children in a bathtub, one at a time. If they don’t think she did it, then who do they think did it? If they know she did it, then… here it comes… she’s GUILTY. And if she’s guilty of murdering her 5 children, then she deserves to spend the rest of her days rotting in a prison cell. Or to have her life exterminated by the state. That’s the whole purpose of putting that loon on trial. Getting to the truth, and then deciding punishment...

Religion of Peace update: "Kill 1,000"

A court in Melbourne, Australia uncovered more Muslim savagery on Monday. Islamic cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika had been plotting a massive terrorist attack with the followers in his mosque. And why did he urge these jihadists to slaughter 1,000 non-Muslims? Because it would please Allah, of course! Yep, when an infidel child’s brains are blown out, God gets this warm feeling inside, right? Nice, peaceful Islam. At least Melbourne police got the bastard on tape. (h/t: Philomathean) Islamic cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika wanted to kill 1,000 Australians to “please Allah” and had the support of a blond recruit who had pledged violent jihad during a meeting with Osama bin Laden. A Melbourne court heard yesterday that a witness would...

Waiting for Hezbollah’s "uncle"

The violence between Israel and Lebanon continues unabated. And I keep hearing people say things like “Why doesn’t Bush call for a cease-fire?” So far, the President has resisted suggestions to step in and stop the fighting. And this morning, I read a brilliant analogy which brings that policy into perfect focus. (h/t: Six Meat Buffet) When I was in the Navy, I once witnessed a bar fight in downtown Olongapo (Philippines) that still haunts my dreams.  The fight was between a big oafish Marine and a rather soft-spoken, medium sized Latino sailor from my ship.  All evening the Marine had been trying to pick a fight with one of us and had finally set his sights on this...

Lebanon WTF

Posted 21 Jul 2006 in stupidity, terrorism, war

What the hell is going on with Americans taking their vacations in Lebanon? There are, I shit you not, about 25,000 Americans who have registered for evactuation from Beirut. Do these people not own a television nor read the newspaper? Yeah, yeah, I realize that some of them have family there. But seriously, why would you say “Honey, I’ve got it! Instead of Orlando, let’s pack up the kids and go to sunny Beirut this year!” Um, hello, McFly? IT’S. A. WAR. ZONE. I don’t know how many of these Americans live there vs. were just visiting. But either way, being over there right now is definitely not grounds for admission to Mensa. The State Department’s Bureau of Consular...

Twist that dagger in my heart

Posted 20 Jul 2006 in art, personal

I was gonna get into the issues of the day today, but I’ve got some issues of my own that I’m still gnawing on. A few weeks ago, if you’ll recall, I had finally finished and framed the two pictures I’d drawn for my parents. It cost me a fortune to get them matted and framed, and shipping them to my folks was no small chunk ‘o change, too. But I was excited about the work I had done (even blogged about the pictures while they were in progress), and was eager to hear their reaction to the first pieces of art I’d created in over 15 years. I couldn’t get them on the phone the day the packages...
