Missing soldiers found dead, Leftists shrug

Sad to say, but the bodies of two captured [correction: I had written "kidnapped," but they weren't just stuffed into the back of some car and abducted, they were captured in battle] U.S. soldiers have been recovered today. If you’re the praying sort, please keep their families in your prayers.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) – The bodies of two U.S. soldiers reported captured last week have been recovered, and an Iraqi defense ministry official said Tuesday the men were “killed in a barbaric way.” The U.S. military said the remains were believed to be those of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore.

U.S. Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said U.S. forces — part of a search involving some 8,000 American and Iraqi troops — found the bodies late Monday near Youssifiyah, where they disappeared Friday.

Al-Qaida in Iraq claimed responsibility for killing the soldiers, and said the successor to slain terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had “slaughtered” them, according to a Web statement that could not be authenticated. The language in the statement suggested the men had been beheaded.

Two more of our brave soldiers, brutally murdered by slavering Islamic sociopaths desparate to save face and revive their sagging morale.

And over here, we’ve got idiots on the Left trying to revive their own sagging morale as well.

The bodies of the two captured U.S. soldiers were found in Iraq – bearing signs of “barbaric torture.”

How quaint.

I hope Alberto Gonzales and John Yoo will sleep well tonight, with visions of those boys’ bodies and the horrible barbarities inflicted upon them dancing in their heads. Perhaps Gonzales, and Yoo, and Rumsfeld and Bush will be able to envision the same inhumanities being visited upon their family members and loved ones as they drift off to peaceful slumber.

This cannot stand. We cannot allow this administration and its incomprehensible defense of and support for torture in violation of the “quaint” Geneva Conventions to remain.

The chickens have come home to roost. As ye sow, so shall ye reap.

I weep for my country, and for the families and loved ones of those in Iraq and Afghanistan, those yet living and those already dead.

Peace.

This anti-Bush crowd seems to love hearing whenever our soldiers die, because in some sick way that makes sense to their twisted little minds it justifies their ever-increasing aversion to Bush, Republicans, or anything even remotely conservative. To these extreme Leftists, these deaths weren’t caused by the evil of Al Qaeda and the men who used a knife to brutally saw through the necks of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker – the deaths were caused by President Bush and the rest of his administration taking a stand against terrorism. If only we’d withdraw our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, the Left tells us, all the jihadists would leave us alone and abandon their dream of a worldwide caliphate.

Now THAT’S quaint.

I don’t remember how it came to be that we aren’t “allowed” to question the patriotism of those on the Left who are opposed to the war. But it’s been a big point of discussion for the past few years, that you can oppose the war and still love your country. That may be true in some cases, but those carrying the antiwar banner seem to be increasingly myopic, stupid, and yes, unpatriotic.

Does this guy really think that our soldiers would feel good about him saying “how quaint” when their brothers in arms are murdered?

Yeah, that’s someone who lovvvvvves his country. Just don’t question his patriotism.

Fuck the DailyKos Leftists. Fuck them up their stupid asses.
