Israel prepares Hamas smackdown

Posted 30 Jun 2006 in jihadists, military, terrorism

Nice to see Israel proving they’ve still got a pair. Via AP: GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said Friday that Israel’s offensive in Gaza — including the kidnappings of some of his Cabinet ministers — was part of a premeditated plan to bring down the Hamas-led government. In his first public comments since the Israeli offensive started, Haniyeh said Palestinian leaders were working hard to end the standoff but implied they would not trade a captive soldier for eight Cabinet ministers and 56 other Hamas officials arrested Thursday. Israel’s air force has struck more than 30 targets in Gaza — including the Palestinian Interior Ministry — in response to Sunday’s kidnapping of Cpl. Gilad...

The Jawa Report is back online again. Take that, Islamotard hackers! (h/t: My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy) Go see what Dr. Rusty (and the other contributors) have to say that gets Muslims so wound up. He’s not always controversial, often he just reports what the Muslims are doing… and they just don’t like having it vocalized. So Christopher Hitchens says fellatio is the signature sex act for America. I was thinking, what exactly is the signature sex act of Islamists?

It’s just a comic book kinda day. I posted about Spider-Man’s new black costume back in February, and now they’ve finally released a trailer for Spider-Man 3! Some sneak peeks at the Sandman as well as Venom. It’s looking goooooood.

Superman leans left?

Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris, the screenwriters for “Superman Returns,” have changed Superman’s famous motto, “Truth, Justice and the American way” to “Truth Justice and … all that stuff.” No lie. Jeannie Wolf reports on Movies.com that screenwriters Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris wanted to avoid outdated jingoism. Dan: “I don’t think ‘the American way’ means what it meant in 1945.” Mike: “He’s not just for Metropolis and not just for America.” Dan: “He’s an alien, from Krypton; he has come to Earth to be kind of a savior for this world, not our country . . . And he has no papers.” Mike: “What would happen with the immigration laws we have now?” Dan: “I’d like to see...

Oh, where have all the firing squads gone?

Old Soldier cuts right through the political correctness and the b.s. of Keller’s excuses and gets right to the heart of the New York Times’ treason: (h/t: Texas Rainmaker) There are also processes in place to express concerns over legality issues (whistleblowing, if you will). There are established avenues within DOD for uniformed personnel that continues to safeguard the information, yet provide a grievance process. Government civilians and contractors bound by security codes may access specified members of Congress (who are normally members of intelligence committees). The law (and ethics) does not permit freely disclosing classified information to parties who are not cleared to receive it. The Whistleblower Act does not apply to the unauthorized disclosure of classified information....

Letters about the editor

Regular readers of this blog know that sometimes, I get so pissed off that I just have to fire off an email to President Bush. Not that he’s waiting to hear from yours truly. But because if I don’t get it off my chest, I’ll just bust. And maybe, just maybe, if his office is flooded with millions of calls and letters, he just might take action. The current situation, with the media arrogantly publishing classified information again, is more than I can stand. So I had to send letters to President Bush and the Attorney General. Seems I’m not the only one, either. Michelle Malkin has a roundup of several other letters. Somewhere, deep in the bowels of...

Religion of Peace update: Russians beheaded

While our “mainstream” media and defeat-o-crats like Jack Murtha continue to shriek about alleged atrocities committed by U.S. troops, al Qaeda reminded us this weekend that Islam’s got horrific inhumanity down to a science. If you can call it science to use a knife to slowly saw through the neck of a diplomat whose only crime is to be of a different religion. CAIRO, Egypt Jun 25, 2006 (AP) — An al-Qaida-linked group posted a web video Sunday showing the killings of three Russian embassy workers abducted earlier this month in Iraq. A fourth also was said to have been killed. An accompanying statement by the Mujahedeen Shura Council, an umbrella organization linking seven insurgent groups including al-Qaida in...

Just what has to be done to please the American public? It’s been 5 years since 9-11 and we’ve had no more terrorist attacks on American soil in that time. Not only that, but our intelligence agencies have foiled numerous terrorist attempts over the past few years. So why do people keep second-guessing the CIA, the FBI, the NSA, and the Bush administration? How often must they be right before they are given the benefit of the doubt and allowed to do their jobs? Yesterday, we find out that 7 terrorists who were aligned with al Qaeda were arrested before they had a chance to implement their plans to murder Americans and blow up the Sears Tower. And still,...

There are no WMDs… in Liberal fantasyland

Posted 22 Jun 2006 in Democrats, Iraq, liberals, war, WMDs

You hear it every day. It’s all over the mainstream media, repeated endlessly by Democrats in Congress and parroted by Left-wing bloggers believing the quote from Vladimir Lenin, “A lie, repeated often enough, becomes the truth.” There’s a plenitude of Lefty bumper sticker logic, here are some of their greatest hits: “… Bush’s unjust war for oil” “… Bush lied us into this war of choice” “… Bush’s failed policy in Iraq” “… Bush lied, soldiers died” “… everyone knows Saddam had no WMDs” “…. no plan for victory” “… Saddam had no ties to al Qaeda” Over and over, we keep finding proof that Saddam DID still have weapons of mass destruction (the new declassified fax is here),...

A bit of clarification

Posted 21 Jun 2006 in homosexuality, illegal immigration, liberals

I feel the need to write a little something else today because I wanted to be VERY clear. I don’t like President Bush. Those of you who are relatively new readers may be surprised to read that. But if you’ve read this blog for a while, you’ve seen that I don’t always agree with our President. I’ve written him many letters, some of which I’ve published here. I think Bush is wrong on several issues; gay marriage and immigration immediately spring to mind. He spends like a liberal and I hate what he’s done to the deficit. He’s made several big mistakes (“Brownie, you’re doing a heckuva job”). But show me the President – or person, for that matter...
