What’s their message?

What Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo?

I saw a lot more American flags at yesterday’s rally. Curt at Flopping Aces sees right through it:

This last part is an excellent point. The problem is assimilation, or lack thereof by the immigrants in our country. At the last rallies they showed their true nature by flying the Mexican flag while protesting in the United States. The organizers have seen the backlash to this and have told everyone to fly the American flag. Big deal. None of us will believe they flag our flag because they want to, we saw what happened when given the choice last time.

LULAC put together an impressive demonstration of Hispanic unity as well as arrogance. But that’s about it. Nobody is fooled by the patronizing display of American flags now, guys.

Preston at Six Meat Buffet gets to the heart of last week’s “immigration” bill:

This amnesty bill – and that’s exactly what it is – is the equivalent of shitting in the mouths of LEGAL immigrants and then telling them it’s an ice cream sundae.

The entire debate over ILLEGAL immigration is a slap in the face and a shoe in the nuts of the good people who have put so much time and effort into following the rules and becoming Americans LEGALLY. Handing citizenship over to people who have no regard for the rule of law to begin with is unsettling at best and vomit-inducing at worst.

You see, President Junior, I don’t care if these are “just good people seeking a better life in America.” Good people actually go through the steps necessary to gain citizenship – good people don’t wipe their ass with our flag and our constitution. But why would we worry with silly things like the rule of law when cheap under-the-table labor abounds?
