Lost’s secret map

Ok, those of you suffering with the illness of watching Lost each week like I do might find this interesting. Earlier this week, you read here about how Dave Navarro ran down all the various questions and mysteries on the show, and how he’s almost, ALMOST ready to throw in the towel… but not quite yet.

Well, this week’s episode was more of the same: more mysteries, more questions, more things to pull your hair out about.

Gather ’round, cause your friendly neighborhood Reverse Vampyr has a goodie for you, courtesy of Paul Scheer’s blog. (What, you say? Paul Scheer, that funny dude from VH-1′s Best Week Ever show, he has a blog? Yes, kids, he does!) It’s that glow-in-the-dark map that popped up over the Dharma logo when all the lights went out in the vault. Not only is it the pic of the map, but it’s a detailed analysis of the meaning of all the glowing writing.

Enjoy!

UPDATE: Here’s a loose translation of the Latin inscriptions, thanks to a co-worker of mine with a few years of Latin classes …
Aegrescit medendo – The cure is worse than the disease.
Sursum corda (x3) – Lift up your hearts (to God) x3
Credo nos in fluctu eodem esse – I think we are on the same wavelength.
Malum consilium quod mutari non potest – It is a bad plan that cannot be changed.
Cogito ergo dolero – I think therefore I am depressed.
Ut sit magna, tamen certe lenta ira deorum est – The wrath of the gods are great, but they take a long time.
Hic sunt dracones – Here be dragons.
