The ignorant and the illegal
Everyone else is blogging about this, as it’s one of the biggest stories of the week. But ‘ol R_V has been working his buns clean off, so you get the Reader’s Digest version for today. Rest assured, I’ll have MUCH more to say about this issue.
The past week has been marked by several demonstrations and protests put on by those who oppose the idea of tightening border security and making it a felony to be an illegal alien within the U.S.
Seems a slam dunk to me. If you break the law and come here and leech off our system, we’re gonna stop you. That’s what our laws are for: stopping wrongdoers and punishing those who break the law. Making it a felony to be an illegal alien in the United States would allow police to get serious about finding and deporting illegal aliens. Then we might be able to (slowly) make a dent in the 12 MILLION illegal immigrants sucking off the teat of our society.
Many of whom have the temerity to march on American streets, demanding rights. Waving Mexican flags. Even desecrating the American flag by flying it upside down beneath the flag of Mexico.
This sickens me.
Let me see just a moment… where are we? The United States? You mean we’re NOT in Mexico? They’ve come here to gain the benefits of our country, and they have the gall to complain that we require them to abide by the same laws we follow?
Hrmmm.
Here in Dallas, there were several protests staged by hundreds high school students. My daughter’s school was practically emptied of herds of screaming, violent teenagers eager to participate in a show of Mexican unity in defiance of American authority. The ensuing ugliness was the top story on the evening news. What amazed me, aside from the fact that schools just allowed students to walk out by the hundreds and thousands, is that police simply escorted them along their “parade route” as they made their way to city hall. Where is the INS? Hell, where is the police? Whatever happened to the truancy laws?
Looks like those laws don’t apply to certain Mexicans, either.
And then there is the issue of what these students were protesting. I read many signs and heard many students quoted as being there to protest “laws against immigrants.” Just goes to show that many people just aren’t paying attention. The government has NO issue with immigrants…
IT’S ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WHO ARE THE PROBLEM, YOU COLOSSAL DUMBASSES!!
I’m disgusted by the arrogance and stupidity of many of these illegal immigrants. How dare they come here, refuse to speak the language or abide by the law, but still expect to share in all the benefits without any of the responsibility. Some illegals are even demanding access to to attend colleges at in-state tuition rates. John Hawkins sums up this insanity and its solution:
Illegal aliens have no right to be here, no right to work here, no right to go to our schools, no right to get services from the government, and no right to demand anything. If they want rights, they should go back to their home countries, where they’re citizens, and demand things back there.(emphasis added)
Next time we see rallies of hundreds of thousands of Mexicans, chanting slogans supporting illegal immigration, send dozens of busses to the protest along with as many Immigration and Naturalization Service agents as possible to check everyone’s citizenship and to deport those who aren’t U.S. citizens. Then let’s bus ‘em all down to Oaxaca. At least it’ll take ‘em a while to walk all the way back…
