Two tokes over the line
What is Ann Coulter smoking?
She is one of conservatism’s loudest voices. And unfortunately, she’s used it last Friday to behave like an ass (as in Democrat) while speaking at CPAC.
“I think our motto should be post-9-11, ‘raghead talks tough, raghead faces consequences.’”
But she didn’t stop there. Oh no. She wasn’t content to only use a racial epithet. She had to crack a joke about wanting to assassinate President Clinton, too:
Asked to describe her most difficult ethical dilemma, she gave a loud sigh. “There was one time I had a shot at [President Bill] Clinton.”
I’m outraged with Lefty nuts who make comments like that about President Bush. And I’m just as disgusted to see that kind of hate coming from the Right. Dislike the man? That’s fine. Hate him? Fine, too. But you just don’t go shooting off your mouth like that (no pun intended).
I’d like to join Patterico – and many other Conservatives – in calling out Ms. Coulter (and he said it best, so I won’t try to restate it):
Shut up, already, Ann. Just shut up. After your recent remarks joking about assassinating Justice Stevens, dontcha think it’s time to cool the assassination jokes for a while — as in: forever?
In the spirit of open debate, Amy Proctor offers a defense of Ann Coulter. Check it out, there are some interesting points in her post.
