Religion of Peace update: McJihad & Kentucky Fatwa Chicken

Can’t you just feel the love?

Muslims in Pakistan continued their evangelistic efforts to spread the good news of Mohammed. It seems they still have their burqas in a bind over the recent Mohammed cartoons. So they (a mere 70,000 of them) made sure to spread some more Islamic “tolerance”:

Witnesses said rioters also damaged over 200 cars, dozens of shops – many locally owned – and a large portrait of Musharraf. American brands were targeted. Protesters vandalized a Citibank branch and broke windows at a Holiday Inn hotel, a Pizza Hut and a McDonald’s restaurants.

O.K. guys, no more fries for you.

Maybe they thought that cartooon figures Ronald McDonald and Colonel Sanders were somehow reminiscent of the Mohammed cartoons, so they had to be destroyed? Yeah, because burgers and fried chicken are trying to wipe out Islam, I guess.

The destruction of property was only part of the “peace” we’ve come to expect in recent days: (h/t: My Pet Jawa)

Reuters: Three people died, including a young boy, during violent protests in Pakistan on Wednesday against cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad published in European newspapers, security officials said.

The boy was killed when a bullet fired during a protest hit him in the head in the northwestern city of Peshawar, but it was not clear if the shot was fired by police or protesters, a security official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

A man was killed when an electricity pole fell down during a protest in the same city, the official said.

Another man died in crossfire between police and students at the Punjab University campus in the eastern city of Lahore, where a police went to rescue an officer who had been abducted by protesters, Police Superintendent Hussain Habib Gill said.

CNN: Unknown attackers gunned down three Chinese engineers and a Pakistani driver in southwestern Pakistan Wednesday evening, police sources told CNN.

The attack happened in Hub in Balochistan province, a tribal area where recent violence has prompted Pakistan’s army to conduct operations.

The engineers were helping construct the multimillion dollar Gwadar seaport in Balochistan, a joint venture by Pakistan and its key ally, China.

If you’ll remember, the situation (which started LAST year) was recently exacerbated by Danish Imams who hyped falsified additional cartoons with the intent to cause outrage among Muslims. And, of course, they were quite successful.

What remains to be seen now is just how long the violence will continue. Will they still be burning businesses next month based on hate-driven lies? How about next year? Will they continue to destroy buildings and cause millions in property damage to companies who have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CARTOONS? Oh yeah, I forgot, it’s a convenient excuse to hate the Americans and call for their deaths.

Even though the offensive cartoons were from Denmark.

And the cartoons they’re REALLY getting upset about were actually hoaxes which may have even been created by the Imams themselves!

Someone remind me again why these folks are rioting?
