It’s High-Five-A-Muslim Day!

Posted 28 Feb 2006 in intolerance, Islam, jihadists

Today is the International High-Five a Muslim Day. Who knew? I thought it was just Fat Tuesday, otherwise known as Beads-for-Boobies day. And why a high-five? Because, in the words of Jesus (as shown in Aussie Ronnie Johns’ video), “Well a nod, it isn’t enough. And a hug – well, that’s just too much.”Dr. Rusty Shackleford at The Jawa Report sums it up: Because there has to be a way to say, “Hey, Muslims, we’re totally down with you. It’s nothing personal, we really think you’re cool. It’s just the whole ‘behead the infidels’ and ‘stone the adulterers’ thing we’re not down with.” See? We love the “Religion of Peace.”

Spider-Man’s new BLACK costume!

Posted 28 Feb 2006 in movies, pop culture

Sony just released its first look at Spider-Man’s new costume. At first glance, it appears that the photo is simply black and white. But the buzz among fanboys is that this is actually a new black costume. But there’s no confirmation yet as to whether that means the alien symbiote – Venom – will be the new villain. Spider-Man 3 is set for relase 5/4/07. (h/t: Superhero Hype!) Although it’s still pretty cool, I must confess that I’m a bit disappointed if this is their version of a “new” black costume. The raised webbing and texture they’ve used up to this point have been a very good interpretation of the comic book. But if they’re going after the Venom/symbiote...

Show us your Mardi Gras

Posted 28 Feb 2006 in disaster

The new “chocolate” New Orleans celebrated its first Mardi Gras since Hurricane Katrina. And despite New Orleans’ Mayor Ray Nagin’s previous statements about his city’s racial preferences, white people and their money were surprisingly welcome at the festivities. Nawlins doesn’t want their deadbeats back, but everyone else is welcome to come spend money. And show their tits. (But come to think of it, that’s welcome everywhere.)

Surely this can’t be serious. It’s just TOO easy. Clinton Foundation. Internships. Hands-on experience. Pretty much writes itself, doesn’t it? (h/t: Crush Liberalism, Michelle Malkin)

WTC: Never forget

Kudos to LindaSoG over at Something… and Half of Something for having an excellent memory AND giving a damn enough to not let this slide: Today is the 13th anniversary of the bombing of the World Trade Center parking garage on February 26, 1993, in which 6 Americans died (7 including an unborn baby carried by one of the adult victims) and over 1,000 were injured. The mastermind of the bombing, Ramzi Yousef, was convicted in 1998 and will spend the rest of his life in prison. The spiritual leader of the Islamic Jihad-associated terrorists who conducted the bombing, Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, was also convicted in connection with the bombings and is also serving a life sentence without parole....

More cartoon riots

Posted 26 Feb 2006 in intolerance, Islam, jihadists, war

It has to happen. And it appears that it finally has. There were more toon riots this weekend. But they’re different than the ones we’ve come to expect over the past several weeks. We’ve all seen the images of enraged Muslims holding signs advocating violence and death for those of a different religion than Islam. Now, it’s Toon Town’s turn to be heard. Violent demonstrations have erupted in ToonTown over incorrect remarks made about the revered ‘toons Tom and Jerry (PBUT) by an Iranian professor. Luckily, no ‘toons have been killed or injured as of yet, due to the remarkable ability of these creatures to regenerate themselves. Rumors are circulating that half-human, half ‘toon The Mask is mobilizing a...

Sobek for President

Posted 24 Feb 2006 in illegal immigration, liberals

This was too good not to share. (h/t: Six Meat Buffet) Sobek’s got a brilliant future in politics, regardless of political party. Here’s an excerpt from his DNC Nomination Acceptance speech if he ran as a Pinko-Socialist-Democrat. On to domestic issues. We cannot allow the Republicans to continue to destroy our economy. Just because Bush gave us ten straight quarters of growth over 3%, and an unemployment rate one quarter that of Germany’s, doesn’t mean American shouldn’t be taxing the crap out of you in a barely-concealed wealth-distribution effort. If unabashed capitalism gave us that kind of growth, just imagine what we could do with hard-core Maoist socialism! We’d be the next Cuba! And they’ve got free health care!!!...

Sammenhold

Posted 24 Feb 2006 in jihadists

It’s the Danish word for solidarity (hey, Poland doesn’t have a monopoly on the word). Christopher Hitchens will be showing “Sammenhold” by organizing a demonstration at the Danish embassy in Washington, D.C. to show support for Denmark: Please be outside the Embassy of Denmark, 3200 Whitehaven Street (off Massachusetts Avenue) between noon and 1 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 24. Quietness and calm are the necessities, plus cheerful conversation. Danish flags are good, or posters reading “Stand By Denmark” and any variation on this theme (such as “Buy Carlsberg/ Havarti/ Lego”) The response has been astonishing and I know that the Danes are appreciative. But they are an embassy and thus do not of course endorse or comment on any...

Golden Dome mosque destroyed by WHO?

Posted 23 Feb 2006 in Iran, Iraq, stupidity, terrorism, war

You’ve probably already heard how terrorists (allegedly Sunnis) destroyed the famed golden dome of the Al Askari Mosque in Samarra, one of Iraq’s holiest Shiite shrines. Insurgents detonated bombs inside one of Iraq’s holiest Shiite shrines Wednesday, destroying its golden dome and triggering more than 60 reprisal attacks on Sunni mosques. The president warned that extremists were pushing the country toward civil war, as many Shiites lashed out at the United States as partly to blame. Huh? The United States? Waitaminit. According to CNN, “A group of men dressed like Iraqi police commandos set off explosives.” And supposedly, suspects are now in custody, “Ten people — all dressed as Iraqi police commandos.” Somehow, that’s our fault? But wait, it...
