What the fuck is up with Harry Belafonte? I mean, I know he’s a nutjob and all. But still, this dude takes a trip to Venezuela and not only offers support for communist dictator Hugo Chavez, but also calls the President of the United States “the greatest terrorist in the world.” That sounds to me like giving “aid and comfort” to the enemy. Yes, folks, I’m talking about the “t” word: treason.
The American singer and activist Harry Belafonte called President Bush “the greatest terrorist in the world” on Sunday and said millions of Americans support the socialist revolution of Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.
Belafonte led a delegation of Americans including the actor Danny Glover and the Princeton University scholar Cornel West that met the Venezuelan president for more than six hours late Saturday and attended his television and radio broadcast on Sunday.
“No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we’re here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people … support your revolution,” Belafonte told Chavez during the broadcast.
An American celebrity calls George W. Bush the greatest terrorist in the world? I bet Al Qaeda just peed in their pants a little when they heard that. Either that, or they’re gonna be pissed off and say “Oh yeah? We’re the biggest terrorists and we’ll prove it…”
Millions of Americans support Hugo Chavez? Um, hello, Mr. Belafonte? Not only are you irretrievably stupid, but you don’t speak for me. And you don’t speak for America. Nor does Danny Glover. Or any of the rest of you numbnuts in this anti-American delegation. You’re acting as a tool for Chavez. And I do mean tool. (video at Political Teen)
How about this: why not just let them stay there? When they try to come back through customs, just refuse to allow them re-entry into the United States. In fact, void Belafonte’s citizenship.
