Moonbats claim Bush responsible for miners’ deaths

Posted 04 Jan 2006 in Democrats, disaster, George W. Bush, liberals, stupidity, war

I’m not making this up. There are Lefties out there so deranged, they actually believe the President is responsible for every bad thing that happens.

And this mental disorder doesn’t take a break, either. Or perhaps it just kicks into high gear whenever there’s a tragedy to exploit for political gain.

Apparently, Bush Derangement Syndrome runs pretty deep in some Moonbats. Like Scott Shields (and some of his commenters) over at MyDD:

Undoubtedly, some will criticize me for placing blame on President Bush here. The defense will be that Bush didn’t cause the explosion that collapsed the mine. My response will be that he didn’t do anything to prevent it. In fact, if anything, the actions of his administration made the situation worse.

But now that his rant against Bush has gained attention, he’s slipping on the Democrat tap shoes to do a little hoofing:

I never said Bush was killing miners. I said that he and his mining executive appointee at MSHA were furthering policies that were bad for safety and good for business.

Well sure, he stopped short of saying that W put a stick of dynamite in the mine and pushed the plunger himself. But laying blame on the President for those deaths is damn close. I guess it depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is, right?

Bush’s indefensible fealty to corporate power undercuts the health and safety of workers at every level of the economy.

How conveeeeeeenient. Democrats aren’t into corporate power, nor are they beholden to big businesss, right? (yeah, keep telling yourself that). So whenever anything goes wrong, there’s gotta be some way to link the problem or tragedy back to Bush.

Just like with Hurricane Katrina. We sure as hell don’t wanna hold any local authorities responsible for that which they are supposedly responsible, do we? Nope, we gotta follow this straight to the top (when a Republican is in office). Which leads us back to George W. Bush again.

That’s all Scott is doing. He’s not blaming Bush for their deaths, just ask him. He’s just blaming Bush for their deaths. See the difference?

I stand by every single thing I wrote. I’m not politicizing a tragedy. Nor am I blaming Bush for the mine collapse. The former would be crass and the latter would be stupid.

At least he got that part right.

Man, I’m glad he set me straight on this. I feel so much better now.

“Why yes, Scott. I am kinda thirsty, now that you mention it. I’d love some of that Kool-Aid, thank you very much.”

*slurrrrp* ahhhhhhh

Damm that Chimpy McHitlerBushHaliburton!!! He’s lied us into an unjust war and shredded the Constitution, now he’s teaming up with big business to kill miners, too! (’cause that’s good for business and the union will go along with it, right?)

But wait, Bush is clown shoes. He’s too stupid to do anything. Everyone knows it’s Bush’s brain, Karl Rove, who pulls the strings. That must be what forced the mine’s owners and the labor unions to cut corners and cause the explosion in the first place. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Or maybe it was Abramoff. Or maybe Scooter Libby. Oh wait, I know, it’s Tom DeLay who made it happen. Damn, there are so many evil Republikkkans responsible, and they’re all marching in goosestep of that evil genius George W. Bush, I guess it all does fall on his shoulders.

Heyyy, waitaminute. Bush can’t be an idiot AND an evil genius. Something’s wrong here.

Can I have another glass of that delicious Kool-Aid?

*slurrrrp* ahhhhhhh

There, much better.

Now I get it. Bush is personally responsible for the deaths of those miners.

Impeachment, anyone? (h/t: Moonbattery, Crush Liberalism)
