Mayor Nagin tastes like racism
MAYOR RAY NAGIN: We as black people, it’s time, it’s time for us to come together. It’s time for us to rebuild a New Orleans, the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans and I don’t care what people are saying uptown or wherever they are, this city will be chocolate at the end of the day.
So does that mean we should strive for some vanilla cities, too? And mocha? And hazelnut, lemon, and pistachio? Mmmm, the mayor of a major U.S. city calling for a race-based city. What a nice way to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday!
I daresay that if ANY politician were to call for making an entire city white-based, he’d be drummed out of office.
