Another Season of Love

Posted 31 Dec 2006 in personal

Here we are at the end of 2006. Celebrate and remember a year in the life of friends. This song is very poignant to that end. Take time today to look back on how you’ve spent this year. Cling to what’s good, let go of what’s not. And move forward into 2007. For me, it doesn’t get any better than what I’ve had this year. I’ve had some of my lowest lows of my entire life this year. But I’ve also had some of the best times ever, too. I’ve got my family, of course, and I’m more than grateful for them. And I have a few friends that have stuck by me since high school (that’s the best!)....

Ding, dong, Saddam is dead!

Posted 31 Dec 2006 in intolerance, Iraq, liberals, war

This is the best news I’ve seen in a long time: Saddam Hussein has been executed. The fledgling Iraqi government has it all over our American justice system. Fifty-six days after Saddam’s trial (AND appeal), they carried out his sentence: death by hanging. Bravo, Iraq! I salute you and applaud your move away from despotism and hopefully into a new era where your all people can live free. Probably won’t happen, especially since Sadr’s people have already turned Saddam execution into a sectarian issue, but one can hope. Oh, and you can see the execution for yourself here and read the transcript of his final words here. (h/t: MVRWC) Iraq The Model sums it all up: Saddam drew his...

Here’s a present, courtesy of the United States military! U.S. Airstrike Kills Top Taliban Commander in Afghanistan A U.S. airstrike near the Pakistan border killed the Taliban’s southern military commander, a U.S. military spokesman said Saturday, calling him the highest-ranking Taliban ever slain by American forces.Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Osmani’s vehicle was hit by a U.S. airstrike Tuesday as he traveled in a deserted area in the southern province of Helmand, the spokesman said. Two associates also were killed. U.S. and Afghan officials said the strike was a major victory. Ahmed Rashid, a leading author on Islamic militancy, said Osmani’s death could disrupt planning for a Taliban offensive early next year, designed to extend the recent surge of violence across...

It’s a bit “boy band-ish” for my taste, but it’s hillarious! SNL gets it right every once in a while…

Whose side are you on?

Now that America has given control of Congress over to Democrats, the party preferred by Islamic terrorists, The Jawa Report has a new variation on an old favorite… “Who Said It: Bin Laden, or a Liberal College Professor?”

Here’s a little Christmas cheer for ya. A while back, I posted about a cool website done by Burger King called Subservient Chicken. The gimmick is that it looks like a webcam where you can tell the Chicken to do certain things (all kinds of weird things) and he’ll actually do them! Well, ‘OI Saint Nick is getting in on the action now. (h/t: The Jawa Report)

Open Season on jihadis

Posted 19 Dec 2006 in Islam, jihadists

This is Stuck Mojo’s video, “Open Season.” YouTube tried to shut it down because it takes issue with Islam’s jihadists and the violent threat they pose to us, a position clearly not shared by the YouTube admins. Obviously, it’s been re-posted and a wave of popularity is sticking a finger in YouTube’s eye. Ace has some thoughts about why they might have deep-sixed it: Rapcore or whatever they call it may not be your cup of tea, and there is some m-f’er profanity (and disturbing images of jihadi violence). Plus, there’s a brown person fronting the group, which is the most terrifying thing of all. I usually don’t care for the newer breeds of rap/hip-hop/rapcore, but enjoyed this one...

Bonaduce spankdown

Speaking of treasonous bastards, Danny Bonaduce verbally spanks 9/11 conspiracy whackjob John Connor of the far-right “Resistance Manifesto.” I couldn’t have said it better than he does! (h/t: LGF) (Man, now I wish the Terminator had snuffed Sarah when he had the chance.)
