How about because he murdered 4 people?

Sheesh!

Nevermind “can we question their patriotism now?” We should be questioning these Leftist’s sanity. Go check out the pics at Zombietime of these lunatics protesting to save convicted mass murderer Tookie Williams.

Fortunately they didn’t get their way. Williams paid for his crimes with his lethal injection Tuesday night.

So now, these loons are promising to give this killer a “statesman’s funeral.” (h/t: Michelle Malkin)

You gotta be kidding me. Whether or not he ever showed remorse for his crimes, or pretended to write a children’s book with a ghost writer, or whatever else these nuts are claiming, the man deserved his punishment.

I can understand a difference of opinion about the death penalty. But this is beyond ridiculous. It’s frightening that these people are allowed to vote. Now I understand how John Kerry got 55 million votes.

UPDATE: JCrue over at Doubleplusgood posted a history of Tookie’s violence at San Quentin as well as a first-hand account of what it was like being terrorized by Tookie’s gang, the Crips.

They created a sense of fear in our communities that have and continue to have profound historical effects. It was street gangs that led the burning of Los Angeles after the Rodney King verdict. It was street gangs, led by Crips who introduced rock cocaine into our neighborhoods. Tookie paid today for a series of murders, but in retrospect, no man could in ten lifetimes pay for all the pain he and his compatriots caused.
