Sheehan whores out her son’s grave

Maybe it’s because President Bush’s poll numbers have increased in the last 2 weeks. Perhaps it’s her anger that the Iraqi’s are going to the polls in droves and exercising the freedom they didn’t have under Saddam Hussein. Or maybe she’s horrified that all branches of the military have exceeded their enlistment goals. Or maybe it’s just because she’s a craven media whore. I’m guessing the last explanation is the reason that Saint Cindy, has exploited her son’s death in in a way much more shameless than anything she’s ever done in the past, which is saying something.

Apparently Vanity Fair voted to give her an award for “Best Stand” of 2005. Hey, no biggie. But take a look a the photo Sheehan posed for to go with the story.

Yes, that is Casey’s grave.

Words cannot describe just how disgusting this is.

It looks like Cindy’s doing things like this photoshoot to work up publicity for the new one-woman play which labors to canonize her antiwar activities. (h/t: Confederate Yankee)

U.S. peace activist Cindy Sheehan, who won wide attention with a vigil outside President George W. Bush’s ranch in the name of her soldier son killed in Iraq, is the subject of a new play by Nobel laureate Dario Fo.

“Peace Mom” received its world premiere in London on Saturday night, starring British actress Frances de la Tour, with both Sheehan and Italian dramatist Fo in the audience.

The one-woman show is based on extracts from Sheehan’s letters to Bush and other writings. De la Tour delivered the monologues beneath large pictures of Sheehan’s son Casey and a tank in the Iraqi desert in front of a plume of fire.

“Frances did such an amazing job of conveying my feelings of anger and betrayal,” a tearful Sheehan said after the play.
