Kerry calls American soldiers terrorists… again

John Kerry misspoke.

Again.

This time, he supported our troops. Before he called them terrorists.

Actually, to be accurate, he called them terrorists first (back in 1971). Later, he claimed to support them when it was politically expedient for his career. Now it’s back to calling them terrorists again.

Which is it, Mr. Kerry? And what’s your proposal for U.S. foreign policy and the resolution of this war?

Which policy was John Kerry arguing for on Face The Nation on Sunday? (video at The Political Teen) Was it the cut-and-run-America-must-surrender-like-our-friends-the-French policy? Or was it the America’s-troops-are-terrorists-so-we-deserve-to-lose policy?

And will the Democrats stand up and be counted with such anti-soldier sentiment? Is this the official Democrat party position on the U.S. military? Or will the Dems retreat from it again when put to a vote?

Kerry went to some effort to show himself worthy of Democrat leadership. So what, exactly, is the position of the Democrat party?

Is it that America has no hope of victory, as voiced by DNC chairman Howard Dean?

“”The idea that the United States is going to win the war in Iraq is just plain wrong.”

Is it that we should abandon our mission and run away because we’re “broken” and “worn-out”, as spoken by John Murtha?

Or maybe it’s both, as evidenced by Kerry’s own words:

“…you’ve got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You’ve got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the–of–the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not, Iraqis should be doing that.”

What kind of message is Kerry sending to America? To our troops currently in harm’s way? And to the men & women in Iraq, just days away from a historic vote? Do his statements encourage our soldiers, citizens, and allies? Or do they encourage our enemies?

Perhaps he was confused and didn’t realize he was at CBS, but thought he was speaking to a reporter for Al Jazeera. (h/t: Captain’s Quarters, Michelle Malkin)
