Is the "Death Wish" kid a Liberal?

Apparently, kids who hear their teachers or parents screech against the war tend to take up similar moonbat activity themselves.

Here’s proof positive how anti-war rhetoric pays off: To wit, one of our soldiers recovering from a gunshot wound in the Walter Reed Army Medical Center received a Christmas card supposedly made by a child (perhaps part of a school project?). It reads:

Have a great time in the war and have a great time dieing [sic] in the war

From,
Miguel

P.S. DIE

What a sickening display of hate. I can only imagine what kind of anti-military propaganda has twisted this child’s mind to make him send something like this to a wounded soldier for Christmas (if, in fact, this handmade card came from a child).

Mike’s America drew some interesting parallels between notes like this and other Liberal skulduggery:

It’s not difficult to understand how the left sunk into this moral abyss. After all, they annointed Muther Sheehan with “absolute moral authority” even as she used the honor and memory of fallen soldiers in her protest of white crosses without the permission of family members and in some cases, direct opposition to their wishes.

And this isn’t the first time that injured soldiers recovering in hospital have been targeted by the left. That same “moral authority” that animates the left led Code Pink to demonstrate outside the same hospital which currently holds Joshua Sparling with signs that read ‘Maimed for Lies’ and ‘Enlist here and die for Halliburton’ while displaying rows of fake coffins.

And who can forget Muther Sheehan yelling at a pregrant war widow, also a veteran: “Your baby is going to be fatherless for a lie.”

The card directed at Joshua Sparling is just the latest low and further proof, not that more was needed, of the political pathology, a certifiable mental defect that infects so much of the anti-war left that has offered nothing constructive to the all important national debate. Nothing but hate.

Jonathan over at Crush Liberalism asks a pertinent question about those who scream the loudest against our soldiers and their mission:

Is it OK to question their patriotism now?

Maybe the Left did this, maybe not. But it sure fits their playbook.

Just scroll down for some of John Kerry’s contribution to our soldiers’ morale.

So let’s turn this around. Whoever pulled this, let’s not let it be the only card this guy receives this Christmas. The soldier in question is named Joshua Sparling and was wounded in Ramadi, Iraq. Please take a few minutes to send a note or package to show him that his country stands proudly behind him and that idiotic asshat does not speak for the rest of us.
