Like a nice cup of hot coffee can get your day off to a better start, I’d like to offer up this site as an enjoyable little eye opener:

Leia’s Metal Bikini is a site dedicated to the famous costume Carrie Fischer wore in Return Of The Jedi. It has patterns and hints for people who make costumes and dress up at sci-fi conventions, and it’s got dozens of pics of fans in their homemade garb. It’s even got some screencaps from the Friends episode where Jennifer Aniston sported one.
