Vote!

Take some time today and go vote. Just because there’s no Presidential race is no excuse to stay home. Im fact, I’d argue that your local elections are actually more important, as they have a much more direct impact on your daily life. And they mean a hell of a lot more than marching and chanting and carrying signs. Protests might make you feel like you’re doing something, but elections actually have the potential to change things.

There are also a ton of ballot initiatives in many states this year, take some time to read up on yours (if you haven’t already) and go make your voice actually heard.

Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative (or whatever freakin’ philosophy you follow), get off your ass today and go vote.

All you protesters, put down your stupid little “Bush = Hitler” signs and go vote.

Communists and socialist “comrades,” go cast your vote (no matter how ironic that is). Then please smack yourself in the forehead with a ballpeen hammer. But vote first.

Special interest groups, you too are welcome to vote. But just once per person, please.

Dead people, y’all need to stay home this year. No more voting for you.

The rest of you, if you stay home on your ass, then don’t bitch anymore.

Ever.

Because if you don’t get involved, you have no right to complain.
