First Blogiversary

Posted 11 Nov 2005 in blogrolling, personal

I just realized that I’ve been blogging for a year as of this month. That’s hardly a blip on the blogosphere radar screen. But it’s a start.

It’s been a fun and interesting road so far. I started off after being inspired by Tony Pierce’s busblog. I had stumbled across it while trying to find out what a “blog” was, and I saw his post about How To Blog. It was inspiring. I was totally unaware of blogs and blogging, but it seemed like it might be a fun way to give myself an outlet for rants as well as a challenging way to improve my writing.

In the time since then, this thing has helped me expand my views. Introduced me to people, places, and perspectives in a whole new way. It’s even gotten me free tickets to a movie premiere.

Yay me. Here’s to year two… (h/t and major thanks to the bloggers who’ve helped me thus far: hewhocannotbenamed, Blogmeister USA, Unsomnambulist, Hector Vex, Boys Wear Pants, Six Meat Buffet, The Neo Con Blogger, Gone Mild, Cao’s blog, Matthew Good, Tales of a Post-Grad Nothing, Whitey, No Time To Say It, The Anchoress, Say Anything, Captain’s Quarters, Dichotomy In Action, Flopping Aces, The Real Ugly American, Lost Mystic, Open Fire, Michelle Malkin, Hog On Ice, Media Lies, The Jawa Report)
