Sheehan hits minute 16

Posted 30 Nov 2005 in war

Snap! I’d say “caption this,” but the real one is almost too good already: Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan waits for people to show up at her book signing near President Bush’s ranch on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 in Crawford, Texas. I wonder where all her looney Lefty supporters are? Oh wait. They must be busy trying to get clemency for convicted murderer and Crips gang-founder, Tookie Williams. Or blaming Bush for everything. Or Photoshopping more anti-war propaganda. Or mixing up a kickass batch of Kool-Aid. Aw hell, feel free to caption away!

Double-crossing the border

President Bush is finally speaking up about the deplorable conditions along our southern border with Mexico. But his plan still include amnesty for illegals already here. I’ve posted on this before, especially as it relates to the Minutemen group who stepped up and helped our U.S. Border Patrol agents. They stayed within the law – photographing illegal crossings and alerting the Border Patrol – but were still chided by Liberals as well as the President himself! The whole situation about illegal aliens hit closer to home a couple weeks ago when Dallas Police Officer Brian Jackson was murdered by an illegal alien. Police said Officer Brian Jackson, 28, was shot under the arm in the 2400 block of North...

From Chicago Sun-Times columnist Mark Steyn: Senate adopts ‘exit strategy’ from reality (h/t: Little Green Footballs) I wonder whether the Senate chamber itself should not be renamed the Abu Musab al-Zarqawi United States Senate. With increasingly rare exceptions, just about everything that emerges from the chamber tends to support the Zarqawi view of Iraq — that this is a psychological war in which the Great Satan is an effete wimp who can be worn down and chased back to his La-Z-Boy recliner in Florida. Last week, the Republican majority, to their disgrace and with 13 honorable exceptions, passed an amendment calling on the administration to lay out its “plan” for “ending” the war and withdrawing U.S. troops. They effectively...

Islam’s "different perspective"

And to think, some people just don’t understand why I wanted to get a 9/11 tattoo on my wrist. Obviously Chris Matthews would be one of those people. He just blew whatever was left of his “unbiased” journalist status with his recent comments. (h/t: Michelle Malkin) In a speech to political science students at the University of Toronto yesterday, the host of the CNBC current affairs show Hardball had plenty of harsh words for U.S. President George W. Bush, as well as the political climate that has characterized his country for the past few years. “The period between 9/11 and Iraq was not a good time for America. There wasn’t a robust discussion of what we were doing,” Matthews...

9th Circuit Court give schools an Islamic enema

As we approach the Christmas season, keep an eye out for how the entire season has been sanitized to remove any public mention of the word “Christmas.” It’s been changed to be “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays.” Companies, deathly afraid of lawsuits or negative publicity, have changed their corportate Christmas parties to be called “holiday parties” or “end of year parties.” Many even censor themselves in their advertising – it’s getting to the point that even Christmas trees and Santa Claus (both of which are NOT Christian icons) are being removed from the public lexicon. Yes, according to them we can’t have Christianity in public, or tolerated by the government in any way. But Islam; well that’s just dandy!...

US Reps resist urge to run away

So, the U.S. House of Representatives votes almost unanimously to NOT pull out our troops and run away like Arthur and his kaniggits in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The House voted 403-3 to reject a nonbinding resolution calling for an immediate troop withdrawal. Nice to see they agree we shouldn’t be surrendering to al Qaeda, as advocated by many Democrats. But it didn’t happen right away. When forced to “put up or shut up, the Dems acted in predictable fashion, trying to block the vote and avoid being held accountable for their appeasement suggestions. Captain Ed captured their machinations in a C-SPAN play-by-play: 8:52 – The House finally voted to continue to the actual point, despite the...

Department of Homeland Lack-Of-Security

Posted 18 Nov 2005 in 9/11, terrorism, war

I received an email from my best friend Jeff today, in which he detailed a recent experience with some apparent gaps in our “homeland security.” So I’m going to the airport the other day for a one day trip to Charlotte on business. Instead of parking in the regular parking garages, which straddle the airport and are located (strategically) close to the baggage claims, I decided to park on the “terminal – top” parking, which is the parking garage for the hotel located in the dead center of the airport, and located right atop the airport. This is more convenient for people without any bags to check, and quicker in and out of the terminal. There’s 9 levels of...

Explosion in online dating

Posted 17 Nov 2005 in stupidity, terrorism

Vonski has the latest and greatest from the Muslim world: an online dating service to match suicide bombers. Awww, aren’t they cute? It appears the terrorists have a match making service that mates terrorist men with the kind of women who enable their sociopathic tendencies. If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it. Lucky for me, I was able to take a screenshot and bring back the proof. These stupid bastards continue to break laws left and right. They even shamelessly ripped off the ever popular eHarmony website for their own nefarious plans. Is nothing sacred to them? In defense of liberty

Posted 16 Nov 2005 in wise quotes

Work has been crazy busy for the past few days, so yesterday’s post just went by the wayside. However, with the socialist crapola being pushed by the extreme Left these days, it’s gotten me thinking a lot about our personal liberty. And how ironic it is that so many asshats use their gift of freedom to push so hard to eliminate it for everyone else. Here are some good words to think on, aptly spoken by men much wiser than I. “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety” ~ Benjamin Franklin “I prefer liberty with danger to peace with slavery.” ~ Author Unknown “The people never give up...

San Francisco chooses victimhood

Posted 14 Nov 2005 in gun control, liberals, stupidity

I was so surprised to see last week that a majority of voters in San Francisco decided that they could do without part of the Bill Of Rights. That they would rather approve mandatory gun control/confiscation, disregard the Second Amendment, and be disarmed as a city than to allow law-abiding citizens their Constitutional right to own firearms. I guess they think THIS law will have an effect on criminals that all the other laws have lacked? The criminals ignore our other laws, but for some magic reason they’ll happily comply with this one? We have hundreds of gun control measures on the books, and gun crime continues to escalate. And in cities where gun ownership is outlawed, like Washington...
