The passing of a legend

Today the world is a better place, but is a poorer place. Rosa Parks, mother of the civil rights movement, has died yesterday at age 92. She was a woman of tremendous courage, whose defiance of racial injustice sparked an awakening in America.

Does anyone remember the guy who drove the bus that day? Does anyone remember the guy who fingerprinted her after she was arrested? Does anyone remember any of the multitude of dolts who went along with the legally racist mindset of the day?

No, and rightfully so.

Thank you, Mrs. Parks, for standing up by sitting down.
