New blog – good karma
One of my two best friends from high school just started his own blog. I’m jazzed about it because he’s such an entertaining (and prolific) writer, and for years I’ve been hoping he does something with it. I always hoped he’d write a book, and maybe this will be the thing that catapults him into it.
His blog is going to be about his upcoming trip to China, and his continuing efforts to help the Packages Of Hope organization. They provide packages of needed supplies, such as clothes, over the counter medicines, shoes, bedding, school supplies, playgrounds and toys, to children living in orphanages in desperate conditions. He became interested in working with them after having adopted two children.
Ironically, Jeff used to be a globe-trotting “man about town.” His job as a mechanical engineer used to have him flying to power plants all around the world, and I used to love getting his lengthy and vivid emails about the cool things he did and saw. And as fate would have it, his work experience overseas led him to the idea of adopting two beautiful baby girls from China. I think he and his wife are just too cool for words!
Go check him out and show some love.
