In nomini Democrats, et filii, et spiritus sancti…
Liberals went postal earlier this week, denouncing Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist for appearing at a religious rally, trying to stir up conservative support to block the Democrat filibuster of Bush’s judicial nominee. Frist was pushing for a simple up-down vote on judicial candidates rather than this partisan game-playing. The libs have been crying foul all week, “separation of church & state”, blah blah blah.
Aside from the fact that such language doesn’t exist in the Constitution, I’m guessing these same libs were busy watching the Lifetime channel when John Kerry was preaching, er, speaking in a church. And when Bill Clinton did it. And when Hillary Rodham did it. And when Jesse Jackson did it. And Al Gore. And Al Sharpton. All of them do the same kind of crap. Democrats are just really good at pointing the finger and saying, “Hey, Mr. & Mrs. America, lookit those NastyMcEvil Wepublicans exploiting religion!”
Both sides do it. So what? But only the Dems consistently make an issue out of it.
